On November 19, 2012, China Unicom announced today its main operating data for October 2012, showing that Unicom's 3G users have increased to 70.067 million and its 2G users have exceeded 162.81 million.

Data shows that in October this year, China Unicom's 3G users increased by 3.204 million (including 76,300 3G wireless Internet card users), and the number of 3G users increased to 70.067 million; the number of 2G users increased by 190,000, and the total number of 2G users exceeded 162.81 million.

In terms of fixed-line business, as of the end of October 2012, China Unicom's local telephone users decreased by 25,000, with the total number falling to 92.596 million; broadband users increased by 677,000, reaching a total of 63.328 million.
