On the 16th, the National Health Commission released the "Core Information of Health Education on Flood Disasters", proposing 9 core information of health education for responding to flood disasters. First, do not drink raw water. Drink boiled water or bottled water or barreled water that meets hygiene standards, or water treated with bleaching powder. If conditions permit, it is best to drink boiled water, bottled water, and barreled water. Flood water contains a lot of mud, decayed animal and plant debris, bacteria, parasites, and viruses. Even if you use river water, mountain stream water, well water, spring water, or lake water that looks clean to the naked eye, it is dangerous to drink it directly. If you have to drink it, use alum and bleaching powder (fine tablets) to clarify and disinfect it, and boil it for at least 5 minutes before drinking. Second, do not eat spoiled food, or livestock that have drowned or died of disease. Flood disasters usually occur in the hot and humid summer and autumn seasons, and food is prone to spoilage. Eating spoiled food can easily cause food poisoning. Eating unclean food can easily cause intestinal infectious diseases such as dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A, and cholera. Drowned or dead livestock can spread infectious diseases such as swine streptococcal disease and avian influenza, and should not be processed and eaten. Third, pay attention to environmental hygiene, do not urinate or defecate anywhere, and do not throw away garbage at will. After the flood, there is a lot of garbage in the environment, which should be cleaned up as soon as possible. Urinating and defecating anywhere will not only pollute the water and the environment, but may also cause a large number of flies to breed and spread intestinal infectious diseases such as dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A, and cholera. Fourth, avoid soaking your hands and feet in water for a long time, and try to keep your skin clean and dry to prevent skin ulcers and skin diseases. Long-term immersion of human skin in water can cause serious consequences such as skin ulcers and infections. When working in the water, you should get out of the water and rest every 1 to 2 hours. Avoid passing through flooded sections during floods. Accumulated water can cover deep pits in the water, fallen wires, etc., so avoid wading through water to prevent accidental injuries. Fifth, do a good job in preventing flies, rats and mosquitoes to prevent intestinal and insect-borne infectious diseases. After floods and waterlogging disasters, people have more opportunities to come into contact with mosquitoes, flies and rats, which increases the risk of infectious diseases spreading and spreading. Flies can be killed with fly swatters, and food should be covered with fly-proof covers. Sticking and trapping methods can be used to kill rats. If an abnormal increase in rats is found, it should be reported to the local relevant departments in a timely manner. Mosquito repellents and mosquito nets can be used to prevent mosquitoes. Sixth, wash your hands frequently and do not share personal hygiene products. Wash your hands frequently to keep your hands clean. Dirty hands can transmit intestinal infectious diseases such as dysentery, typhoid fever, hepatitis A, cholera, and contact infectious diseases such as "pink eye". Avoid sharing towels as much as possible, ensure that each person has one towel, and disinfect them frequently. Seventh, if you have fever, vomiting, diarrhea, rash and other symptoms, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. Fever, vomiting, diarrhea and rash may be early signs of infectious diseases. During flood disasters, if these symptoms occur, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. 8. In areas where schistosomiasis is prevalent, try not to come into contact with infected water. If you must come into contact with it, you should take personal protection measures. In parts of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in my country, such as Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, Sichuan, and Yunnan, there is still a risk of schistosomiasis transmission. You should be cautious when coming into contact with wild water bodies. It is recommended to wear protective equipment such as rubber boots, rubber gloves, and rubber pants or apply protective ointment when working in the water. If you have come into contact with infected water but have not taken protective measures, you should take the initiative to go to the schistosomiasis prevention department for examination. If you find that you are infected, you should seek treatment as soon as possible. We must strengthen the management of human and animal feces. They must not be discharged into water bodies without harmless treatment, and grazing on snail beaches is prohibited. Ninth, maintain an optimistic attitude. People are prone to anxiety, depression, despair and other negative emotions in flood disasters, and serious cases may cause mental illness. Any disaster will eventually pass, and maintaining an optimistic attitude will help to actively respond and rebuild homes. |
