Why do young people have trembling hands? Is trembling due to Parkinson's disease?

We all have had this experience. When we lift heavy objects, our hands will shake for a period of time. Some people also shake when they are nervous. These are physiological reasons. Generally, they will be fine after a period of time and will not have any impact. But sometimes hand shaking is also caused by some disease, especially for the elderly. So what is the reason for young people's hand shaking? Is hand shaking Parkinson's disease?

Why do young people's hands shake?

There are many reasons for hand tremors, which can be mainly divided into physiological and pathological.

Physiological: It does not occur normally, but only in certain situations (such as stress, tension, anger). Even drinking beverages such as coffee, tea, cola, etc. are physiological tremors.. Physiological hand tremors occasionally occur without treatment.

Pathological causes are caused by dysfunction of the nervous system, such as Parkinson's disease, hyperthyroidism and metabolic abnormalities, such as tremors caused by hypoglycemia. Different diseases vary in speed, amplitude and frequency. If pathological causes are suspected, it is recommended that the hospital conduct relevant examinations.

Is hand tremor Parkinson's disease?

It is not necessarily Parkinson's disease. You can go to the Parkinson's and movement disorders clinic for further diagnosis.

Because hand tremors are very common, nervousness and other emotional influences can cause hand tremors, and hyperthyroidism can also occur when the hands tremble. However, the main symptom of Parkinson's patients is not tremors, but slow movements. If the patient has slow movements, reduced expressions, and tremors, then the risk of Parkinson's is very high; if the patient does not have tremors, but is stiff, and has slow movements, this situation is also more likely to suffer from Parkinson's disease.

In addition, hyperthyroidism, essential tremor, cerebellar tremor, etc. can also cause hand tremors.

What disease is the symptom of hand shaking?

Generally speaking, the elderly are prone to hand tremors. Diseases that can cause hand tremors can be roughly divided into the following three categories: 1. Brain diseases; 2. Metabolic diseases; 3. Essential tremors.

Common brain diseases are as follows: hypertension, trauma, arterial malformation and sclerosis, degenerative lesions and other factors can cause damage to the motor area of the brain, manifested as bradykinesia, tremors when standing still, gait disorders, and muscle stiffness and discomfort. Clinically, some of the above symptoms are also referred to as Parkinson's syndrome. Parkinson's syndrome includes: primary, secondary, superimposed syndrome and hereditary Parkinson's syndrome. At the same time, cerebellar atrophy can also cause hand tremors;

Common metabolic diseases are as follows: liver failure causes hepatic encephalopathy, which is often accompanied by flapping tremors (like a bird flapping its wings), tremors in the hands and feet caused by hyperthyroidism, which are common in young women. In addition, other metabolic diseases and drugs can also cause tremors.

Essential tremor: generally refers to hand tremor of unknown cause and current laboratory tests do not show any qualitative lesions.
