Is it good to use PE line for wild fishing? How to see if there are fish when fishing in the wild?

PE line is not unsuitable for wild fishing, but it is not suitable for fishing with floats. This is mainly because the density of PE line is smaller than that of water. If you use a float, the line above the float will float on the water surface. Even if you use the method of pressing the rod tip, it is difficult to press this line into the water.

Is PE line good for wild fishing?

PE line is a kind of Dyneema line, which has strong tensile strength and good wear resistance, so it is often used in sea fishing. It is rarely used in freshwater fishing. A very small number of anglers like to use extra small PE line as sub-line for wild fishing, such as 0.2 PE line as sub-line for wild fishing.

Wild fishing is mostly based on crucian carp, and the fishing rig for wild crucian carp is generally thin line, light sinker and small hook. Thin line should also be soft and transparent, good water-cutting ability, strong tension and good elasticity. Single-strand nylon line or ceramic line is used as fishing line. At the same time, such fishing line is also very sensitive and is the best choice for wild crucian carp fishing.

PE line is different. Due to its strong water draft, PE line is not in good condition in water and has extremely poor sensitivity. It is not suitable for wild fishing environments that require high sensitivity. Therefore, PE line is generally rarely used for wild fishing.

How to tell if there are fish when fishing outdoors

First of all, it is difficult to directly judge what kind of fish are in the water in an unfamiliar wild fishing environment. The most direct way is to see if there are any anglers fishing around. If so, ask them if they often fish here, whether they have caught any fish, and what kind of fish they have caught. If they are people who often fish in this water area, then they will naturally know what kind of fish are in this water area.

If there are no other anglers fishing around, we need to look for fish. To find out what fish are in the water, first observe whether there are small fish in the shallow water near the shore. For example, whitebait often swims in groups near the water surface. Carp likes to flip their white bellies and play in the sandy and rocky areas near the shore. Crucian carp, grass carp, and carp like to move around water plants to forage. There are often one or two small fish stars around the water plants that emerge from the water surface, indicating that there must be crucian carp below.

If there are strings of small fish stars, it means there are carp below. Grass carp will make a sound when eating grass, so check if there are big fish hitting the water. Also, check if there are any traces of fishermen sitting around, and if there are any bait bags or bait residues left by anglers around the fishing spot. Based on the bait residue, you can roughly judge what fish the anglers usually fish for. The fishy and fragrant commercial bait is generally used to fish crucian carp, whitebait, and catfish. Corn is generally used to fish grass carp, carp, and black carp, and snails are used to fish black carp.

How to fish in the wild in winter

1. Weather and timing for fishing

Generally, our climate is stable with the lowest temperature not lower than five degrees, the wind speed is no more than level 3 to 4, and the best wind direction is northeast and southeast. Pay attention to the weather. One or two days before the arrival of a cold wave is the best time to go fishing.

2. Nesting materials, bait

Nesting materials: Traditional wild fishing has its own nesting materials to attract fish, which are generally made of rice wine with fishy aroma, and bait: earthworms and red worms. Choose a good fishing spot to sink the bottom nest, concentrate the nesting materials, attract fish quickly and keep fish for a long time.

3. Use rod and fishing method

Choose the fishing rod according to the fishing spot, and use the traditional fishing line with a hook facing up. Use the teasing fishing method. In winter, crucian carp's activity is very small, and they basically hide in sunny places with grass, obstacles and deep pools. Walk and fish to find fish and tease them.
