A woman with a burning urethra after peeing

The urethra is an indispensable part of our body. If there is a problem with the urethral opening, it will cause a lot of discomfort in the human body. In particular, if there is urethritis in the urethral opening, the urethral opening will cause a hot and burning feeling when urinating. So why does the urethra opening feel hot and spicy? What exactly are the symptoms?

Female urethral pain is generally common in inflammation of the urogenital system, especially urethral infection. Due to the structure of the female body, the urethral opening is very close to the vagina and anus, so urethral infection is very easy to occur, and bacteria can easily infect the body backwards. Therefore, if there is pain in the urethral opening, you need to check whether there is swelling in the urethral opening. If there is swelling, it is best to do a routine urine test. If the white blood cell count is elevated, it can be diagnosed as a urinary tract infection.

The main manifestations of female urethritis are mostly frequent urination, urgent urination, inability to hold urine, and painful urination, accompanied by a burning sensation at the urethral opening, which is the hot and spicy feeling described by some patients.

In the medical field, it is called urethral irritation. Naturally, some patients may also have hematuria. Because the inflammation affects the bladder mucosa or urethral mucosa, there may be some bleeding. There is also a situation that there may be some abnormal secretions in the urethral opening. You can see the secretions on your own inspection or underwear, and you can make a basic identification based on its color, smell, and characteristics.

Therefore, it is generally easier to diagnose, and because of women's physiological and anatomical factors, they are more susceptible to urinary tract infections, so they must be treated in time.

Symptoms of urethritis

1. Symptoms of acute urethritis: inflammation of the urethral opening, a small amount of thin urethral secretions, or itching of the urethral opening, and sometimes symptoms such as inability to hold urine, frequent urination and urgency. Although the symptoms of acute urethritis are small and mild, they are more obvious and mainly include more urethral discharge. Regardless of men or women, there is stinging pain in the urethra when urinating, frequent urination, urgency and inability to hold urine. At first, there is mucus in the urethra, which gradually becomes pus, and the patient feels obvious discomfort.

2. Symptoms of acute urethritis: decreased urethral secretions, only itching or tingling sensation, urinary irritation symptoms are not as obvious as acute symptoms, and some patients may have no symptoms. When urinating, there is burning pain in the urethra, frequent urination, urgency and inability to hold urine, resulting in difficult urination.
