What to eat during caesarean section to cause gas

Caesarean section is one of the two main modes of delivery. After cesarean section, you cannot eat before gastrointestinal motility, and the main sign of gastrointestinal motility is the smelly fart of pregnant women. In order to speed up gastrointestinal motility, we need to take various measures. What can we eat after cesarean section to cause flatulence?

1. What to eat after cesarean section to make you fart easily

Of course, it is most recommended that new mothers get out of bed and move around as soon as possible, which will help with exhaust after giving birth. 24 hours after the cesarean section, the new mother can stand up for a while or take a few steps with the help of family members or nurses, and do it 3 to 4 times a day, so as to restore gastrointestinal function as soon as possible.

However, there are also new mothers who experience hypotension symptoms such as "black eyes" and "dizziness" when they get out of bed for the first time. You can wait for a while before getting out of bed. If you really can't stand up and exercise, you can lie in bed and do some moderate exercises, such as turning over more often, which is not only good for exhalation, but also can prevent adhesion of internal organs.

In fact, it is recommended that the family of the new mother gently massage the abdomen from top to bottom for the new mother, once every 2 to 3 hours, each time for 10 to 20 minutes. It not only promotes gastrointestinal function, but also helps to discharge residual blood in the uterus and vagina.

Finally, the bloating phenomenon can be improved by taking drugs that promote gastrointestinal function orally, and suppositories or cleansing enemas can be used when necessary. However, since this is relatively difficult for new mothers who have just given birth and may affect the internal environment of the human body, it is not recommended for new mothers to use it unless necessary.

2. Why do you need to fart after a cesarean section?

For new mothers who choose to undergo a cesarean section, the doctor will try his best to help you fart after the operation. It is very important for new mothers to have a good exhaust system after giving birth, as it can reduce a series of problems caused by abdominal distension after cesarean section.

In fact, abdominal distension will occur after cesarean section, mainly because the new mother undergoes abdominal surgery. During the operation, the intestines are subjected to stress and gastrointestinal function is weakened. It usually takes 24 to 48 hours for the gastrointestinal function to slowly recover. The release of gas from the anus (also known as farting) is a sign of gastrointestinal function, indicating that the new mother's gastrointestinal function has been basically restored. Only after the gastrointestinal function is restored can you eat semi-liquid and normal food, otherwise the gastrointestinal tract cannot bear it. Generally, flatus will appear 24 hours after cesarean section. If flatus has not appeared after 48 hours, it is abnormal and must be checked and resolved by a doctor.
