Women's chromosomes are XX, and they can only produce one type of egg cell a month; men's chromosomes are XY, and they can produce two types of sperm, X-containing sperm or Y-containing sperm. After the sperm and egg fuse, they become one and become a sperm-egg combination. In this way, the 23 sex chromosomes in the male sperm and the 23 sex chromosomes in the egg cell form 23 pairs of sex chromosomes.
