The infection is localized in the cervix, and the main manifestations are excessive and turbid vaginal discharge, cervical edema, hematoma, or surface erosion. The infection spreads to the urethral orifice and is manifested by redness, hematoma, and squeezing of the urethral orifice. A small amount of secretions may flow out of the urethral orifice, but tenderness rarely occurs.
