Brown blood one week before period

Brown blood one week before period

Once there is an abnormality in menstruation, women will be very worried about whether they have gynecological diseases, especially in the week before menstruation, some women will find some brown secretions in the vagina. In fact, these brown discharges are caused by bleeding. In this case, the first thing to consider is whether it is caused by corpus luteum insufficiency or degeneration. Hormonal regulation can improve corpus luteum function.

Luteal insufficiency refers to the insufficient endocrine function of the luteum formed after ovarian ovulation, resulting in insufficient secretion of progesterone, insufficient secretion and conversion of the endometrium, ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and is not conducive to the implantation of the fertilized egg, which can lead to infertility or habitual abortion.

The causes of corpus luteum insufficiency may be related to insufficient secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) by the pituitary gland; excessive or insufficient secretion of prolactin (PRL) by the pituitary gland; immature follicles themselves and insensitivity to gonadotropins; insufficient synthesis of progesterone by the corpus luteum itself or an unbalanced ratio between progesterone and estrogen, etc.

Clinical manifestations

Patients with luteal insufficiency usually have no discomfort symptoms. If clinical manifestations occur, they are mainly shortened menstrual cycles, frequent menstruation, infertility or miscarriage, and miscarriage mainly occurs in the early pregnancy.

1. The most commonly used method

The most commonly used treatment for luteal insufficiency is to supplement the lack of progesterone in the body, generally with intramuscular injection of progesterone and oral administration of progesterone.

2. Drug-stimulated luteal therapy

Human chorionic gonadotropin is mainly used to promote follicle growth. In addition, for luteal insufficiency caused by too high prolactin levels in the blood, drugs that lower prolactin, such as bromocriptine, are needed.

Of course, how to use these drugs has different effects on the treatment effect. Too much or too little will not only fail to achieve the treatment effect that varies from person to person, but will also produce certain side effects.
