Candidal vaginitis is a common gynecological disease, which is mainly caused by women not paying attention to vaginal hygiene and unclean sexual life. Women with candidal vaginitis will experience vaginal itching, increased leucorrhea and vaginal odor, which seriously affects the function of the uterus and requires timely treatment. The best treatment is antibiotics. You can also choose a sitz bath to remove vaginal bacteria. Candidal vaginitis is caused by fungal infection. In medicine, fungal infection is called Candida infection, so fungal vaginitis is also called Candidal vaginitis. It is more common in young girls, pregnant women, diabetic patients, and postmenopausal patients who have been treated with large doses of estrogen. Diagnosis of candidal vaginitis 1. The most common symptoms of candidal vaginitis are excessive vaginal discharge, burning and itching of the vulva and vagina; if the urethra is affected, there may also be symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. 2. Typical signs include white curd-like or bean curd-like leucorrhea, severe edema of the vagina and vaginal vestibule mucosa, covered with a white curd-like film that is distributed in dots or sheets and is easy to peel off. Underneath is a damaged, flushed base that may form ulcers or leave ecchymosis. In severe cases, the labia minora may swell and adhere. However, not all leucorrhea has the above typical characteristics. It can range from watery to curd-like leucorrhea. Some are completely thin and clear serous exudates, which often contain white flakes. 3. The leucorrhea smear test was positive for fungus. Characteristics of TCM treatment Traditional Chinese medicine treats vaginitis from a holistic perspective, either clearing away dampness and heat, or strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness, or nourishing the liver and kidneys, or soothing the liver and strengthening the spleen, combined with killing insects and relieving itching; while treating internally, it is combined with external treatment methods. At present, because external treatment drugs act directly on the affected area, they are highly targeted, and the drugs are quickly absorbed, with less interference with the body's internal environment, and they are effective quickly. It is a non-traumatic treatment method and is simple to operate. External fumigation treatment with Chinese herbal medicine: Use Chinese herbal medicine with the effects of clearing heat and detoxifying, killing insects and relieving itching (such as Cnidium monnieri, Phellodendron chinense, Sophora flavescens, Plantago, Taraxacum officinale, etc.) to decoct water and fumigate the vulva, which can not only relieve symptoms but also inhibit and eliminate Candida albicans. Since the patient's vulvar itching, pain and burning symptoms are significantly alleviated after fumigation, it is more suitable for women with acute candidal vaginitis and can relieve the patient's pain. In addition, it can be combined with Chinese medicine suppositories and vaginal medication treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine uses syndrome differentiation and treatment, and combines internal and external treatments, with good clinical efficacy and no obvious side effects or drug dependence. It is particularly suitable for recurrent fungal vaginitis. Western medicine treatment 1. General treatment: Keep the vulva clean and dry, avoid scratching and external soap washing, prohibit sexual intercourse during treatment, avoid spicy and irritating foods, and active treatment can eliminate susceptibility factors. 2. Change the acidity and alkalinity of the vagina: You can use 2% to 4% baking soda water to flush the vagina, 1 to 2 times a day, and one course of treatment is 2 weeks. After flushing, wipe the vulva dry and keep it dry to inhibit the growth of Candida. 3. Vaginal medication: Using imidazole suppositories for vaginal medication has a good effect on candidal vaginitis. Take 1 clotrimazole suppository every night and insert it into the vagina after flushing. 10 to 14 days is a course of treatment; or take 1 Daktarin suppository every night and insert it into the vagina after flushing. 7 days is a course of treatment. 4. Topical ointment: Applying clotrimazole ointment or dacrylin ointment externally can treat vulvitis caused by fungal infection and relieve symptoms of vulvar itching and pain. Apply externally several times daily for 2 weeks. 5. Oral medication: Since fungal infections can be transmitted between couples through sexual intercourse, both parties can be treated with oral medication, which can also inhibit intestinal Candida. Fluconazole oral dose: 150 mg once, taken all at once. Or take Sporanox orally: If it is the first infection of candidal vaginitis, take 200 mg each time, take it after breakfast and dinner, and only take it for 1 day; if it is recurrent candidal vaginitis, the dosage of Sporanox needs to be increased, and you can take 200 mg each time, once a day, for 3 consecutive days, or you can take it twice a day, 100 mg each time, for 3 consecutive days. Take the medicine after meals. |
