Fear of childbirth

Fear of childbirth

Sometimes many people suffer from phobias because they are scared by other people's experiences. For example, giving birth is a painful process for women, but some people exaggerate this process, causing some people who have not experienced it to develop fear, and over time they develop a phobia of childbirth. In fact, there is no need to have such fear. You should know that today's medicine is very advanced, and surgery for female children is very mature and very safe.

How to eliminate fear of having children

First of all, mothers should be made to realize that giving birth is a normal physiological activity for reproduction and is a natural instinct of human beings. Childbirth is painful, but there is nothing to be afraid of, and being mentally and physically prepared during pregnancy and before delivery can help you to tolerate the pain.

Communicate more with your doctor before delivery to determine the method of delivery, and let the doctor guide you on preparations for delivery according to the situation, such as breathing exercises. You can also consult your doctor about painless delivery, drug-induced analgesia and other delivery methods to relieve labor pain.

Currently, many obstetric hospitals have introduced music delivery, family delivery rooms, husband accompanying delivery, sitting delivery, water delivery, etc., which can be adopted according to the situation.

No matter which method of delivery is adopted, it is very important for the mother to keep a happy mood at all times to relieve fear and pain. You should have a positive attitude towards pain during childbirth. This is a normal phenomenon. There is no need to be afraid or anxious. You can use self-suggestion and self-comfort. When you feel pain, think about the greatness and joy of being a mother for the first time to divert the pain. Family members, especially the husband, must do their best to stay with the pregnant woman at all times during this important time.

What should you pay attention to before giving birth?

1. Excessive tension. Excessive mental tension increases the body's sensitivity to external stimuli, and even slight external stimulation can cause pain. Therefore, pregnant women should eliminate their worries and maintain a happy and relaxed mental state before giving birth. Although childbirth involves certain pain and danger, the vast majority of births are normal, and difficult births are extremely rare. Especially under modern conditions, the safety of childbirth has been greatly improved. If pregnant women can conduct prenatal examinations seriously and pay attention to pregnancy care, there will generally be no problems.

2. Anxiety and impatience. Some women are impatient and anxiously look forward to early delivery before the due date. They become even more anxious after the due date and even abuse Chinese and Western medicines to induce labor. This mood will also have an adverse effect on delivery. The due date has a certain activity period, and it is normal to be earlier or later than ten days. However, if the baby has not been born more than 10 days after the due date, you should ask a doctor to find out the reason.

3. Carelessness. A few mothers and families are careless and are still not fully prepared at the end of pregnancy. They are flustered during delivery, which makes various accidents prone to occur. A small number of pregnant women who are close to their due dates still take cars or boats to travel to other places. Due to the bumps and fatigue of the car or boat, they often have accidental births on the way, threatening the lives of mother and child. Therefore, pregnant women should not go out casually when they are close to their due date.

How to eliminate the fear of childbirth? The best way is to have family members around to make female friends feel fully secure, so that they will be willing to give birth to a baby of their own. When facing female friends who have a fear of having children, we must actively guide them and let them experience the happiness of having children through our words.
