Determining the gender of a baby during early pregnancy

Determining the gender of a baby during early pregnancy

In the early stages of pregnancy, an ultrasound examination is required, and the results of the B-ultrasound examination can determine the gender of the baby. However, because we are not doctors, we do not know how to observe the gender of the baby, and the doctor will not tell us, so we want to learn to do it. In fact, the gender of the fetus cannot be guaranteed to be 100% accurate, and it can only be judged accordingly through B-ultrasound.

B-ultrasound data to see the gender of the fetus

How to know the sex of the fetus from ultrasound data? Generally speaking, the data on the B-ultrasound report include biparietal diameter, abdominal circumference, femur length, gestational sac, fetal heart rate, etc. The placenta, amniotic fluid, umbilical cord, fetal spine, etc. can also be observed from the B-ultrasound. According to folk sayings, the gender of the fetus can be determined through B-ultrasound data in the following ways:

1. Look at the gestational sac: Look at the ultrasound report at 40-50 days of pregnancy. The size and shape of the gestational sac can tell the gender of the fetus. If the gestational sac is oval or round, it is a girl, and if it is elongated, it is a boy.

2. Look at the biparietal diameter and femur length: the biparietal diameter is the transverse diameter of the fetus's head, and the femur length is the length of the fetus's thigh bone. The older generation says that a boy is one with a longer head and shorter thighs, that is, biparietal diameter - femur length > 2, and a girl is one with a smaller difference between her head and legs.

Characteristics of having a boy

A pregnant woman's body will undergo some changes after becoming pregnant, such as an enlarged belly and the formation of a pregnancy line. The internal environment of the pregnant woman will also undergo corresponding changes due to pregnancy. Some people believe that by observing these changes, one can roughly estimate whether the pregnant woman is carrying a boy or a girl. Characteristics of having a boy include:

1. The belly is pointed, which increases the chances of having a boy.

2. A protruding belly button means it's a boy.

3. The pregnancy line is thin, long and straight.

4. The fetal sac in the early B-ultrasound is long and narrow. For example: The gestational sac in the ultrasound at 52 days of pregnancy is 4.2×2.1×1.4.

5. The value of biparietal diameter-femur length is greater than 2.

6. Pregnant women with anterior placenta are more likely to have a boy.

7. If the pH value in urine test during pregnancy shows an upward trend, it means you are pregnant with a boy.

8. In the later stages of pregnancy, due to the increase in male hormones when carrying a boy, the pregnant woman's thighs, armpits, areola and neck will turn black.

9. If the tip of a pregnant woman's nose becomes bigger, it means she is pregnant with a boy.

However, experts advise that the above methods are for reference only and cannot be guaranteed to be accurate. In fact, the method of determining the baby's gender based on pregnancy reactions is not much better than the method of flipping a coin.
