Cervical smear with inflammation

Cervical smear with inflammation

In daily life, many people often come into contact with cervical examinations. This is an examination result that women need to have regular physical examinations every year. This examination is mainly carried out through scraping to check whether there is inflammation or some cancer cell problems. Cervical examination is divided into several steps. The following is a detailed introduction to the issues about cervical examination.

How to do a cervical smear test?

After completely exposing the external os of the female cervix, the cervical examination uses a scraper to rotate 360 degrees on the external os of the female cervix. Through this method, the doctor can easily obtain the mucous membrane and secretions of the area, and study whether there are any abnormalities under a microscope. The results can be obtained after a few days. This is an effective method for diagnosing cervical cancer.

There are three steps to cervical examination:

1. Vaginal examination. A vaginal examination will check the position, size, or erosion of the cervix, and if necessary, a scraping will be required.

2. Probe inspection. A probe exam uses a probe to measure the length, width, and direction of the cervix.

3. Contrast examination. The angiography examination will observe the cervix, and many female diseases can be detected through this examination, such as lesions of the uterus and fallopian tubes, and whether there are growths in the cervix.

Precautions

1. Since cervical examination requires the use of a blade to rotate 360 degrees on the external opening of the female cervix, infection may occur if the blade is not thoroughly sterilized. For this reason, women who are menstruating cannot have a cervical examination.

2. If you have sexual intercourse before a cervical examination, it may affect the results of the cervical examination, so you should not have sexual intercourse within three days before the examination.

3. Due to individual physical reasons, vaginal bleeding may occur after cervical examination. Depending on the bleeding situation, women should abstain from sexual intercourse for one week to one month after the examination.

4. Women should never wait until they get sick to get checked out, but should also take preventive measures in normal times.
