Woman coughing and enuresis

Woman coughing and enuresis

Some women may have their bladders damaged because they often hold their urine. When they get older, they will leak urine when they cough. In fact, this situation is quite embarrassing outside, and when they are old, they are particularly prone to urinary incontinence. They should be treated in time. So how should women who urinate when they cough be treated?

As ovarian function declines, estrogen decreases sharply, causing the pelvic support structure to relax and bladder prolapse. At the same time, due to the atrophy of the urethral submucosal vascular network, the urethral smooth muscle relaxes, the closing force decreases, and the urethral muscle group's ability to control urine decreases. Therefore, when the intra-abdominal pressure increases, urine will flow out uncontrollably. It manifests as involuntary urine leakage when the patient exerts force, that is, when the abdominal pressure increases, such as when coughing, laughing, sneezing, or running. In severe cases, urine leakage may also occur involuntarily when standing.

symptom

Most patients belong to this type of patient group and experience urinary incontinence when coughing, laughing, exercising, etc., with no urge to urinate and small amounts of urine leaked. This is caused by increased abdominal pressure, increased bladder pressure, and low urethral tension that cannot cope with strong external force. This type of disease can be treated with medication, and in severe cases surgery.

diet

Eat a light diet and eat more fiber-rich foods to prevent increased abdominal pressure caused by constipation.

prevention

A good attitude requires an optimistic and open-minded mood. With a positive and peaceful attitude, you can face the success, failure, pressure and troubles in life and work with a smile, and learn to regulate your mood and emotions. To prevent urinary tract infection, develop the habit of wiping your hands from front to back after urinating or defecating to avoid urethral infection. Before sexual intercourse, the couple should wash the vulva with warm water. After sexual intercourse, the woman should immediately empty her urine and clean her vulva. If you experience urinary pain or frequent urination after sexual intercourse, you can take anti-urinary tract infection drugs for 3 to 5 days to quickly cure the inflammation in the early stages.
