1. What is tooth decay?

If it becomes serious, the teeth will develop pulpitis and apical periodontitis. If we do not treat it, it may even cause inflammation of the alveolar bone and jawbone, eventually forming caries. 2. What should pregnant women do if tooth decay causes extreme pain?

Pregnant women will feel very painful when they get tooth decay. At this time, they should improve the condition of their teeth from several aspects.

First, get enough sleep. In addition to helping us rest, sleep can also make pregnant women have vigorous qi and blood and be full of energy. Sufficient qi and blood can better maintain the self-cleaning ability of the oral cavity;

Second, pregnant women will feel particularly painful after suffering from tooth decay. It may be that you are not brushing your teeth correctly. Therefore, pregnant women should take their teeth seriously after having tooth decay, brush their teeth well, and use some toothpaste with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects. Rinsing your mouth with mouthwash after eating can also make tooth decay better.

Third, tooth decay may be related to pregnant women's picky eating, so pregnant women should eat more foods that are good for teeth, such as mushrooms, celery, cheese, raisins, etc. Fourth, refuse to eat sweets. The sugar in sweets will become an acidic substance that is harmful to teeth after a series of transformations after entering the body, which will cause tooth decay. Therefore, pregnant women should refuse to eat sweets after suffering from tooth decay.
