Some pregnant women in the late pregnancy will also have edema in their legs, even to the point where they cannot wear shoes. So what should pregnant women do if they experience swelling in their legs during late pregnancy?

1. Eat enough protein

For pregnant women who experience swollen feet and legs in the later stages of pregnancy, the first thing to do is to ensure that they consume enough protein every day. Make sure to eat animal foods such as livestock, poultry, meat, fish, shrimp, eggs, milk, and bean foods every day. This type of food is rich in high-quality protein. Pregnant women with anemia should also eat animal liver 2 to 3 times a week to supplement iron.
