No yolk sac seen in 2 months of pregnancy

No yolk sac seen in 2 months of pregnancy

We all know that the appearance of the yolk sac means that the fetus has begun to develop. At this time, the fetal development is normal, and the appearance of the yolk sac can usually be detected four weeks after intercourse. However, when the expectant mother goes to check the fetus, if the yolk sac has not been detected for two months, you should pay attention to it, because if the yolk sac has not been detected for two months, it may mean that the embryo has stopped developing. At this time, it is very likely to be a stillbirth. You must check it carefully.

Why is there a gestational sac but no yolk sac?

1. The pregnancy period is relatively short. Generally speaking, pregnant women can see the gestational sac during B-ultrasound examination about 4 to 5 weeks after menstruation, and the primitive heart tube pulsation about 6 weeks. If you go to the hospital for an ultrasound examination too early and no embryo or yolk sac is seen, it is because the pregnancy is relatively short.

2. Abnormal embryonic development. If the pregnancy is more than 6 weeks, you can usually see the embryo, fetal heartbeat, gestational sac, etc. If the examination does not show anything, you need to consider whether the fetus has stopped developing or is maldeveloping, which requires consideration of abnormalities.

3. When does the yolk sac grow out? The yolk sac is usually formed around 6 weeks, and the gestational sac is clearly visible during B-ultrasound examination, and the embryonic bud and fetal heartbeat can be seen. When the embryonic sac can be seen through B-ultrasound examination, it is almost the same time when the yolk sac appears; generally the yolk sac appears first, followed by the embryonic bud and fetal heart. The presence of a yolk sac indicates that the embryo can continue to develop.

4. The time it takes for the embryo bud and fetal heart to grow. As the embryo develops, the gestational sac is formed in 30-40 days, the fetal bud is formed in 40-50 days, and the fetal heart is formed in 50-60 days. Therefore, B-ultrasound should generally be done around 60 days. At this time, you can see whether the gestational sac, fetal bud, and fetal heart are normal.

What to do if there is a gestational sac but no yolk sac

1. First, determine your last menstrual period to see if the previous judgment is accurate. If the pregnancy is still very short, it is normal not to see the embryo. No treatment is needed at this time. Just wait patiently for the next B-ultrasound examination.

2. If the embryo is developing abnormally, it needs to be ruled out by combining blood HCG level test. You need to pay attention to a balanced diet, light and easy to digest, and you also need to stay in bed for rest and observation.

3. If you are sure that you are pregnant, you should pay attention to rest and do not take any medicine. You can take folic acid and vitamins.

4. If the embryo still does not show fetal heartbeat and fetal bud after about two months, there may be a risk of embryonic arrest.

After this introduction, I believe everyone has a certain understanding of the gestational sac and yolk sac. Generally speaking, the gestational sac and yolk sac are indispensable for women's pregnancy. Once any abnormality is found, you must go to the hospital as soon as possible for examination, identify the cause, and treat the symptoms to ensure that the fetus can develop normally and healthily.
