Left lower abdominal pain after pregnancy

Left lower abdominal pain after pregnancy

If a woman experiences dull pain on the left side of her lower abdomen, it may be caused by inflammation of the left appendages, or it may be caused by acute or chronic colitis. For women who have sex, if the menstruation is delayed for 10 days and there is also a vague pain on the left side of the lower abdomen, and the blood HCG test shows that you are pregnant, this may be a manifestation of an ectopic pregnancy on the left side. It is only because the ectopic pregnancy mass has not yet ruptured that under the stimulation of the continued growth of the test tube embryo, it will cause dull pain on the left side, usually accompanied by irregular vaginal bleeding.

If you experience dull pain in the left lower abdomen one month into your pregnancy, you need to consider the following possibilities. The first possibility is that it is caused by the enlargement of the uterus in the early stages of pregnancy. In addition, mild pain may also occur when the embryo implants. The second situation is to be alert to ectopic pregnancy. If a woman has inflammation of both fallopian tubes or pelvis, it is very easy to cause ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal pregnancy that poses serious risks.

Therefore, in the early stages of pregnancy, if there is significant abdominal pain, it is recommended to do a B-ultrasound, which can determine the location of the gestational sac and rule out ectopic pregnancy. In addition, if you don't sleep well and feel tired in the early stages of pregnancy, it is also easy to increase the symptoms of abdominal pain, so excessive exercise is not recommended in the early stages of pregnancy.

Sometimes there is a dull pain on the left side of the lower abdomen during pregnancy, which is generally a physiological manifestation. As the fetus grows during pregnancy, the uterus expands, which can stretch and cause pain in the abdominal muscles. Especially after pregnancy, the uterus is in a right-handed state and will stretch more significantly. It is usually recommended that pregnant women sleep on their left side to help relieve the pain. Be careful not to stand for a long time or over-exertion will aggravate the feeling of lower abdominal pain. If there is adnexitis or pelvic inflammatory disease, there will be a dull pain in the lower abdomen, which can be confirmed by B-ultrasound examination. If an inflammatory infection is confirmed, antibiotics can be used for treatment according to the severity of the individual's condition.
