Is it normal to not have your period for more than ten days?

Women's menstruation is cyclical. If your period hasn't come after a certain period of time, you need to have a physical examination to check for the problem. If you haven't had your period for more than ten days, women who have had sex should first check whether they are pregnant. If you are not pregnant, then it must be caused by an internal disease and you need to carefully regulate your body. So, is it normal if you don’t have your period for more than ten days?

Pregnant

If your period is delayed for more than two weeks and you have had sex during this period, you may be able to confirm whether you are pregnant.

Test method: If the menstrual cycle has always been normal, with no signs of delay, and there are some signs of pregnancy reaction, on the fifth day after the delay of menstruation (or the fifth day calculated from the start of menstruation), use an early pregnancy test strip to test the urine. If positive, a gynecological pelvic examination should be conducted. If the cervix changes to purple-blue, the uterus is full or enlarged, and there may be accompanying symptoms such as breast tenderness and nausea, pregnancy can be diagnosed.

Of course, B-ultrasound can also quickly determine whether you are pregnant.

Drug factors

Taking birth control pills, diet pills and other drugs will affect women's menstruation.

Generally, hormone drugs have an impact on women's endocrine system. If such drugs are taken for a long time, it will affect women's normal menstruation and may cause delayed menstruation.

For example, long-term use of contraceptives can cause endocrine disorders and delayed menstruation.

Surgery

(1) Abortion surgery or medical abortion

Menstruation is determined by the degree of recovery of the endometrial wall, which may cause menstruation to be delayed.

(2) Uterine surgery

It causes cervical adhesion and menstrual blood stasis, thus delaying menstruation.

Certain medical conditions

Some female diseases, such as abnormal ovarian function, can affect the normal arrival of menstruation and may cause delayed menstruation. Other chronic wasting diseases, such as chronic hepatitis, tumors, severe iron deficiency anemia, aplastic anemia, tuberculosis and other diseases, often lead to delayed menstruation due to nutritional deficiencies.
