Vaginitis abdominal distension

Vaginitis abdominal distension

Many female friends are deeply hurt by vaginal inflammation. The symptoms of this disease mainly include abnormal leucorrhea, urinary tract irritation, etc., but some patients also have lower abdominal distension and pain. Although vaginitis is the main cause of such symptoms in women, there may be other causes, such as adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., so it is best for patients to go to the hospital for examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Symptoms caused by vaginitis

Vaginitis caused by different reasons has different symptoms and different harms to women:

1. Fungal vaginitis: vulvar itching, vulvar and vaginal burning pain, increased leucorrhea in the form of tofu dregs, sometimes accompanied by frequent urination, painful urination, and painful sexual intercourse. It is difficult to cure and is prone to recurrence, causing premature birth, fetal infection and malformation.

2. Trichomonas vaginitis: The amount of leucorrhea increases, and it is milky white or yellow, sometimes purulent, foamy, and has a foul odor. In severe cases, there is bloody leucorrhea, painful and frequent urination, and blood in urination. Trichomonas vaginitis may be complicated by Trichomonas urethritis, cystitis, and pyelonephritis. Since Trichomonas can devour sperm, it can cause infertility and affect sexual life.

3. Nonspecific vaginitis: There is a feeling of falling and burning in the vagina, accompanied by pelvic discomfort and general fatigue. Vaginal discharge increases and becomes purulent, serous, and foul-smelling.

4. Bacterial vaginitis: increased leucorrhea, which is grayish white, thin and foamy. The vaginal mucosa is congested, with scattered bleeding spots, itchy and burning sensation in the vulva, and a foul odor in the vulva. It can easily induce genital infection, pelvic inflammatory disease, perinephritis, pain during sexual intercourse, etc., and pelvic inflammatory disease can cause lower abdominal pain and lumbar pain in patients.

Nursing measures

During the treatment of vaginitis, take the following protective measures:

1. Wear cotton underwear and change it frequently. Keep the towel and basin for cleaning the vulva separate. Washed underwear should be placed in the sun to dry, not in the bathroom.

2. Wear breathable clothes and avoid wearing pantyhose or tight jeans continuously.

3. After defecation, wipe from front to back to avoid bringing Candida albicans from the anus to the vagina.

4. If you used to like sitting by the pool in your swimsuit and chatting, you’ll have to change that behavior in the future. Don’t sit casually in public swimming pools, bathrooms, or even public toilets.

5. Please try to stay cheerful, because psychological reasons can also reduce the body's immunity, allowing Candida to take advantage of the opportunity to invade.

6. Do not use disinfectants or various cleansers to frequently rinse the vulva and vagina. It is best to clean the genitals with clean water rather than various types of lotions. Moreover, taking large amounts of antibiotics can lead to vaginitis. As long as antibiotics are used, whether orally or by injection, they will inhibit the lactobacilli in the vagina, disrupt the natural ecological balance of the vagina, and change the microenvironment of the vagina. Pathogenic bacterial pathogens may multiply, eventually leading to an attack of local candidal vaginitis. So in general, do not take large amounts of antibiotics.

Vaginitis treatment

Regarding the treatment of vaginitis, the most important thing is to use external medications which are more effective.

There are many kinds of drug treatments for vaginitis, such as suppositories and washes made from Chinese herbal medicine. These have anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects, but they cannot completely cure vaginitis. The treatment of vaginitis must be thorough, because vaginitis is a common disease, and the cause of vaginitis is the increase of bacterial toxins remaining in the vaginal wall, which leads to various symptoms of vaginitis. Generally, vaginitis manifests itself as itching, redness, swelling, pain during sexual intercourse, and painful and urgent urination. Therefore, when various symptoms of vaginitis occur, timely treatment is needed.

1. Be sure to complete the course of treatment prescribed by the doctor: Many patients with vaginitis often cannot persist in the treatment. After seeing that their condition has improved, they stop taking the medicine without authorization. In fact, some bacteria that have not been completely eliminated are hiding under the mucosa at this time. When the patient's resistance is poor before and after the next menstrual period, it will come out again. Therefore, to truly cure vaginitis, the test results must be negative after taking the medicine for 7 days after each menstrual period for 3 consecutive months.

2. Be sure to "treat" daily necessities simultaneously: While treating vaginitis, sexual life supplies also need to be treated simultaneously, so as to achieve the purpose of thorough treatment. The patient's towels and underwear may also be contaminated with pathogens. If they are not treated simultaneously, the treatment results will be wasted. Therefore, towels and underwear should be thoroughly disinfected: boil them for 15 minutes and dry them in the sun. They should also be kept in a ventilated and dry place at other times.

3. The husband or sexual partner should also receive targeted treatment: Everyone should know that there are many types of vaginitis. For example, fungal, bacterial, and gonococcal vaginitis can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Therefore, the husband or sexual partner is also likely to be infected with the disease. If not treated, the patient will be repeatedly infected.
