1. 4. Local vulvar lesions: common warts, herpes, eczema, condyloma acuminatum, vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia, lichen sclerosus, pubic lice, scabies, etc.

5. Systemic diseases: diabetes, jaundice, cholestasis and other pruritus of unknown causes.

How to prevent vulvar itching?

1. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, do not use soap to wash the vulva, and try to avoid scratching and rubbing the affected area.

2. Do not eat spicy and irritating foods, such as chili, ginger, garlic, fried foods, five-spice powder, pepper, etc.

3. Avoid depression and tension.

4. If the symptoms still cannot be relieved after doing the above points, you should seek medical attention in time, find out the cause of the itching, and treat it according to the cause of the disease. Do not take medicine blindly.

5. If the treatment of vulvar itching is delayed, it will often become a very difficult disease to treat, but it is not a terminal illness. Patients should not have too much psychological burden and should go to a regular hospital as soon as possible.

How should vulvar itching be treated?

1. Eliminate human causes, pay attention to the cleanliness of the vulva, wear cotton underwear that is not too tight, avoid using alkaline soaps, and minimize mechanical stimulation to the vulva.

2. For vulvar pain and itching that cannot be diagnosed for the time being, local wet compresses of 3% boric acid or 1% to 2% raclonidine solution, 40% zinc oxide oil, calamine lotion and 2% diphenhydramine ointment can be used. If necessary, oral chlorpheniramine can be taken, but hormones, iodine, alcohol, etc. should not be used.
