Why does a girl's breast grow rapidly on one side?

As we all know, when girls reach puberty, they will begin to show female characteristics. The most obvious manifestation is the development of breasts. This is a very magical process. Girls need to have a scientific understanding of their own physical development. It is worth mentioning that some abnormalities will occur in the process of breast development. If one of a girl's breasts grows wildly, it is definitely an abnormal phenomenon. At this time, the following factors should be considered.

Why does a girl's breast grow rapidly on one side?

The vast majority of breast lumps in adolescent girls are benign lesions, among which breast fibroadenomas are the most common. 10%-40% of adolescent fibroadenomas will calcify or even regress.

Therefore, not all breast fibroadenomas require surgery. The doctor will develop a treatment plan based on the child's actual condition. Some can be given progesterone treatment and come to the hospital for regular observation and follow-up; if the tumor grows rapidly in a short period of time, it can be surgically removed.

Timely surgery will not affect the appearance of the breast and functions such as breastfeeding. Last year, Dr. Wang Jinhu treated a 12-year-old patient with breast fibroadenoma. In just two months, the tumor grew to 16 centimeters, seriously affecting her daily life. After surgical resection, the patient's breast function returned to normal and there was no recurrence.

Regarding the prevention of adolescent fibroadenomas, Sun Liying said that first of all, one should reduce the intake of high-protein foods, especially foods containing high estrogen levels; secondly, one should be cautious when using health products and tonics; finally, regular breast self-examination is also important, and if a lump is found, seek medical attention promptly.

"Adolescent children do not necessarily need to eat special tonic foods. My son's diet is relatively simple, mainly vegetables, supplemented with lean meat, fish, shrimp, etc." Wang Jinhu said that he never gives his children eels, sea cucumbers, bird's nests and other tonic foods.

The most common age for adolescent breast fibroids is 10 to 13 years old, especially in girls around the time of menarche. Women of this age have changes in their hormone levels, with estrogen levels being too high. It may also be related to an unreasonable diet and excessive intake of estrogen-containing foods. The breast tissue of some people is more sensitive to hormones. Under their stimulation, the epithelial and fibrous tissues of the breast will proliferate to varying degrees, increasing the risk of developing breast fibroids.
