Why do I have some pain in my lower abdomen during early pregnancy?

If a woman experiences some pain in her lower abdomen in the early stages of pregnancy, it is mostly caused by physiological reasons. After a woman becomes pregnant, the fetus gradually grows in the mother's body, which causes the uterus to gradually enlarge and compress nearby tissues and organs, which may cause pain in the lower abdomen. This pain will be more obvious especially when walking or changing body position. Of course, under normal circumstances, the pain due to the growing uterus is tolerable. At this time, you should also be alert to lower abdominal pain caused by some diseases. For example, ectopic pregnancy, threatened abortion, and uterine fibroids may cause symptoms of lower abdominal pain in early pregnancy. At this time, you should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time.

Other reasons can also cause lower abdominal pain during pregnancy:

1. Ectopic pregnancy

If you experience severe unilateral lower abdominal pain, accompanied by vaginal bleeding or fainting, it may be an ectopic pregnancy and you should go to the hospital immediately.

2. The causes of paroxysmal lower abdominal pain are complex

If a pregnant woman experiences paroxysmal lower abdominal pain, back pain, regular abdominal pain, or pelvic pain in the first few months of pregnancy, the problem may be more complicated.

3. Threatened abortion

If accompanied by vaginal spotting or a noticeable feeling of abdominal heaviness, it may indicate threatened miscarriage. At this time, you should stay in bed more, avoid sexual intercourse, move less, avoid lifting heavy objects, drink water, and seek medical attention in time.

4. Miscarriage:

If you find lower abdominal pain and bleeding in the early stages of pregnancy, you must be vigilant. The main symptoms of threatened abortion may include the above symptoms.

5. Uterine fibroids:

Uterine fibroids may grow during pregnancy, and the impacts on pregnancy include fibroid degeneration and necrosis, fibroid torsion, and direct interference with fetal development or obstruction of delivery. This type of pain usually comes suddenly, and the pain point is fixed, which is local pain.

If there are no symptoms of vaginal bleeding, pregnant mothers should not be too nervous, as this is just normal uterine contraction. When abdominal pain comes, if the pregnant mother is at work, she can put down the work at hand, sit down and rest. If the abdominal pain is severe and accompanied by vaginal bleeding, it may be a sign of miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy, and you must seek medical attention immediately.
