Pelvic inflammatory disease is mostly caused by infection during this period

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common gynecological disease in women. Because it is close to adjacent organs, it can induce many inflammations and may even cause complications. Gynecological pelvic inflammatory disease is generally caused by infection, and most of them are related to lack of hygiene and care. You should be careful to do a good job of prevention in your daily life.

Causes of pelvic inflammatory disease

Clinically, if women do not receive adequate hygiene care during the postpartum period or menstruation, it may cause bacterial infection of the pelvis and induce pelvic inflammation. In addition, if various gynecological surgeries are performed, inadequate environmental hygiene or post-hygiene care, or if nearby organ lesions are not treated in time, pelvic inflammation may occur. The main causes of pelvic inflammation include the following:

Reason 1: Inadequate hygiene care: When women are in delivery or postpartum period or suffer from other diseases, due to inadequate hygiene care, bacterial infection invades the reproductive organs and spreads to the pelvic area, inducing pelvic inflammation.

Reason 2: Infections from certain gynecological surgeries: Women who become pregnant unexpectedly and undergo abortion or induced labor, surgery for fallopian tube disease, or hysterosalpingography may all suffer from inflammatory infections in the pelvic area due to lax operating conditions. This may be partly because the patient did not strictly follow the doctor's instructions after the operation and had sexual intercourse within a short period of time, causing bacterial retrograde infection and inducing pelvic inflammation.

Reason 3: Spread of inflammation to adjacent organs: If a woman suffers from appendicitis but does not receive timely treatment, the inflammation may spread to the female pelvis, thereby inducing pelvic inflammation. In addition, when there is inflammation in the vagina or cervix close to the pelvic cavity, the bacteria may reversely infect the genitals or infect the pelvic cavity through the lymphatic circulation, inducing pelvic inflammation.

Reason 4: Improper hygiene care during menstruation: If women swim, take a bath or have sex during menstruation, it will give bacteria the opportunity to infect the pelvis, leading to pelvic inflammation.
