There is a piece of meat at the urethra, and it turns out that I have this disease

Some female friends accidentally discovered that there was a piece of flesh at the urethral opening. Studies have found that this is a symptom of urethral caruncle. Estrogen deficiency and chronic inflammatory stimulation are the key causes of this disease. If not treated in time, it will cause many complications, such as urinary tract infection, vulvitis, etc.

1. Causes

1. Insufficient estrogen

The cause of this disease has not been clearly elucidated. Since it often occurs in postmenopausal women, it is generally believed to be related to decreased estrogen levels. Some reports indicate that urethral prolapse caused by estrogen deficiency may be the first step in the evolution of urethral caruncle.

2. Chronic inflammatory stimulation Local chronic inflammatory stimulation may also lead to eversion of urethral mucosa, proliferation of epithelial cells around the urethral opening, infiltration of inflammatory cells and small varicose veins, thus forming

Fleshy lesions and urethral caruncles may also be related to trichomoniasis, tuberculosis, intestinal ectopy, and urethral hymen fusion, but there are few related studies. Urethral caruncles are rare in premenopausal and adolescent women, but there have been reports of urethral caruncles in 2-year-old girls. In addition, there have been case reports of male urethral caruncles both at home and abroad.

2. Symptoms

1. Pain at the urethral opening: There may be a burning pain, which worsens during urination, activity, friction of clothing, and sexual intercourse. It may sometimes cause frequent urination and scattered urination.

2. Contact bleeding: Bleeding is easy to occur after contact or friction injury, but heavy bleeding rarely occurs.

Complications

1. Complicated urinary tract infection causes symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain during urination. It can usually be diagnosed through clinical symptoms and routine urine examination.

2. Concurrent vulvovaginitis leads to increased local secretions, itching, discomfort, burning sensation, etc., which can be diagnosed through routine examination of leucorrhea.

3. The caruncle is overgrown and friction from clothing can cause bleeding, secondary infection, etc. In severe cases, it may lead to the inability to conduct normal sexual life.
