Ladies, please take note. If you are experiencing infertility, first of all, don’t be too anxious. Be sure to adjust your mindset and then go to the hospital for a detailed examination, such as hormone testing, fallopian tube testing, ultrasound testing, thyroid function testing, etc. 1. Hormone test (menstrual period) Examination method/purpose: Collect blood samples and measure the values of FSH, LH and prolactin. Check whether hormone secretion is abnormal. Examination time: during menstruation. Examination results: Find out whether there is ovulation disorder, polycystic ovary syndrome, and hyperprolactinemia. 2. Hysterosalpingography Examination method/purpose: A catheter is inserted into the vagina, contrast medium is injected, and then an X-ray is taken. Check the shape of the uterus and the proliferation of the fallopian tubes. Examination time: during the follicular phase (within 5 days after the end of menstruation). Examination results: Understand the size and shape of the uterus and the normal condition of the fallopian tubes. It can see parts that cannot be captured by X-rays, such as whether the fallopian tubes have hyperplasia, blockage, etc. 3. Hormone test (follicular phase) Examination method/purpose: After collecting blood samples, the value of follicle-stimulating hormone is measured. Check for abnormalities in hormone secretion. Examination time: During the follicular phase. Examination results: Understand the ovulation status and corpus luteum function. 4. Ultrasound examination Test method/purpose: Insert a probe into the abdomen or vagina to check the development of follicles through ultrasound. Inspection time: Check every time. Test results: Predict ovulation period based on the size of the follicle. A thin endometrium can easily lead to implantation problems. 5. Hormone test (luteal phase) Examination method/purpose: After collecting blood samples, the values of follicle-stimulating hormone and progesterone are measured. Check whether hormone secretion is abnormal. Examination time: During the luteal phase. Examination results: Check whether the corpus luteum function is complete. 6. Thyroid function test Examination method/purpose: After collecting blood samples, the value of thyroid hormone is measured to check whether the hormone secretion is abnormal. Inspection time: any time. Examination results: Detect whether there are symptoms such as hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. And find out whether there is ovulation disorder, implantation disorder and hyperprolactinemia. |
