Why is menstrual blood pink?

Women should pay special attention to menstrual health issues. If there are any abnormal conditions during the menstrual period, it may be a manifestation of reproductive health disease, so you need to pay attention to it. If the menstrual blood is pink, it may be caused by qi and blood deficiency.

1. Menstrual cycle. The average menstrual cycle for women is 28-30 days, but some people have their period every 30 days, and some even every 40 days. As long as there is regularity, that is, each menstrual cycle is roughly the same, it is normal. In addition, menstruation is easily affected by many factors, so it is normal to be 3-5 days earlier or later. If this menstrual cycle is 20 days, and the next one is 40 days, there are many days between them, and this happens frequently, and some women even have menstruation for 1-2 days, and then 1-2 days again after more than 10 days, losing the periodicity, this is abnormal and is called irregular menstruation. It should be noted that when a girl reaches menarche, her ovaries have just developed and their functions are not yet perfect, so she will experience dysfunction and irregularity. This is not a pathological phenomenon and there is no need to be afraid or worried. After one or two years, the ovaries will mature and menstruation will return to normal.

2. Menstrual period (also known as menstrual period). A woman's menstrual period lasts about 3-5 days, and 2-8 days is not uncommon. The general pattern of menstruation is that there is not much menstrual blood on the first day, but it increases on the second and third days, and then gradually decreases until the menstrual blood stops. This is because the endometrium just begins to shed on the first day, and on the second and third days the shedding of the endometrium increases, the amount of bleeding also increases, the uterus is stimulated, the contraction increases, and a large amount of menstrual blood is discharged. For some people, after their menstrual blood has stopped, it comes back a day or two later. This is called "menstrual bleeding returning". This is not a disease but a normal phenomenon. However, some women's menstrual period lasts for 10 days or even 20 days, and their menstrual period is endless; some women's menstrual period is very short and just passes in a flash. Both phenomena are abnormal.

3. Menstrual blood color . Normal blood is dark red and is mixed with sloughed endometrial flakes, cervical mucus, and vaginal epithelial cells. The blood does not coagulate, so there are no blood clots.

If the menstrual blood is as thin as water, only slightly pink, or black or purple, it is abnormal. If the menstrual blood is completely blood clots, it is also abnormal and there may be other bleeding sites. You should seek medical attention as soon as possible to ensure your health.
