9. Dry, thin, brittle, and hair loss may be caused by a lack of zinc, protein, energy, and fatty acids.

Causes of nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy:

1. If the various nutrients in the daily diet during pregnancy are not taken into account, or if there is a habit of picky eating, for example, a preference for animal foods such as meat, eggs, and milk, and eating less fresh fruits and vegetables, it is easy to lack vitamin C.

2. Excessive consumption of refined foods can lead to nutritional deficiencies. The vitamin and mineral content in refined rice and white flour is lower than that in coarse rice and flour. Rice and flour undergo fine processing, and the thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and iron in them will be lost by 70% to 85%.

3. Unreasonable cooking methods will cause the loss of nutrients in food. If the cooking temperature is too high or the heating time is too long, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin C, vitamin E, etc. in the food will easily be lost. In boiled food, water-soluble vitamins and some minerals often dissolve in edema and cause loss.
