Symptoms and treatment of endometrial prolapse

Endometrial prolapse is a reproductive disease that usually occurs after women give birth. It has a great impact on women's uterine health, physical and mental health, and the couple cannot live a normal life. Therefore, women who are about to give birth or have already given birth should pay extra attention to the health of the uterus. If a woman feels severe discomfort after giving birth, she should pay attention, as it may be endometrial prolapse. Here I will introduce to you the symptoms and treatments of endometrial prolapse.

1. Symptoms of endometrial prolapse

Uterine prolapse is also called uterine prolapse. The inner wall of the uterus cannot contract and recover well, and it sags into the vagina. In severe cases, it may extend outside the body. The common symptoms of uterine prolapse include at least a sense of falling (the feeling that something is about to fall out of the lower abdomen), back pain, and even bladder pain in severe cases.

If it is mild sagging, the cervix is still inside the vagina. In severe cases, the cervix will extend to the vulva. In more serious cases, the entire uterus will extend outside the vagina. In mild cases, there may be some discomfort. In severe cases, the vulva may feel heavy and uncomfortable, and urination and defecation may be very difficult. Because when the uterus prolapses, the inner wall of the vagina will also prolapse. The front vaginal wall will be affected by the bladder, and the back vaginal wall will be affected by rectal prolapse. If the bladder muscles and ligaments are relaxed, the patient will suffer from urinary incontinence.

2. Treatment Methods

Surgical treatment: The appropriate surgical method should be selected according to the patient's age, fertility requirements and physical condition. The main treatment for uterine prolapse is surgery. After a vaginal hysterectomy, the base ligaments and other stimuli are drawn and stabilized, and the pelvic floor muscles and vaginal wall are repaired at the same time, including repairing the anterior vaginal wall mucosa to prevent bladder prolapse, and repairing the posterior vaginal wall mucosa to prevent rectal prolapse. However, this method is not suitable for young infertile patients and elderly patients.

The above is an introduction to the symptoms and treatment methods of endometrial prolapse. After women have a better understanding of the symptoms of endometrial prolapse, they can receive timely treatment when these symptoms appear in their bodies. Although this is a relatively serious female disease, most patients can recover in the end after timely discovery and effective treatment.
