Many of us may have known that amniotic fluid is very important to the baby in the womb during pregnancy. It can maintain the baby's basic breathing and is critical to the baby's life and breath. However, the more amniotic fluid is not the better, nor is the less the better. Moreover, the baby's demand for amniotic fluid changes at different times. So, what is the normal amniotic fluid index at 23 weeks? Generally speaking, the maximum dark area of amniotic fluid may be 3-7cm, which is normal, and the amniotic fluid index may be 8-18cm, which is normal. The main reason for low amniotic fluid is the fear of fetal malformation. Generally speaking, it is normal for the amniotic fluid depth to be between 3-7 cm in the late pregnancy, and more than 7 cm indicates increased amniotic fluid. The normal amniotic fluid volume is 8-20cm. When the amniotic fluid index is less than 5cm, it means there is too little amniotic fluid and the pregnancy should be terminated as soon as possible. In most cases, oligohydramnios in the late pregnancy is caused by placental dysfunction. Abnormal development of the urinary system can also cause oligohydramnios, but it is rare and can sometimes be detected by B-ultrasound examination. In the late stages of pregnancy, the umbilical cord cannot be turned around the neck and a cesarean section must be performed on the doctor's advice. In the late pregnancy, the amniotic fluid can reach 1000 ml. In the last 2 to 4 weeks of pregnancy, the amount begins to decrease, and can be reduced to 550 in post-term pregnancy. Any amount exceeding 2000 during pregnancy is called polyhydramnios, and any amount less than 300 in the late pregnancy is called oligohydramnios. Long-term oligohydramnios can also cause compression of the fetus, resulting in facial deformities or incorrect hand and foot postures. Therefore, amniotic fluid infusion should be given to increase the amount of amniotic fluid when necessary. Drinking more soup and water can help improve the symptoms of low amniotic fluid. If there is too little amniotic fluid and fetal growth retardation, early delivery must be considered, because this already means that there is a certain degree of fetal distress and continuing the pregnancy cannot ensure safety. Therefore, in order to ensure the health of the baby and themselves, pregnant mothers should pay attention to changes in these aspects during pregnancy, and go to the hospital regularly for some post-pregnancy check-ups to ensure the health of the baby and the pregnant mother. Health during pregnancy is always the top priority. The mother and family must pay close attention to it, so that they can give birth to a healthy, lively and lovely baby. |
