What to do if vaginitis causes urinary tract infection

Due to its special physiological structure, women's vagina is easily infected by some bacteria, and the incidence of female vaginitis is very high now. If vaginal inflammation continues, it can cause urinary tract infection, which is very harmful to the health of female friends. So, what should we do if vaginitis causes urinary tract infection? There are mainly the following treatments for vaginitis.

General treatment

Aggressive treatment can eliminate susceptibility factors. Wash the vulva with warm water every day and develop good hygiene habits. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

Drug therapy

1. Trichomonas vaginitis The trichomonas of Trichomonas vaginitis exist in the glands of the wrinkles and cervix, as well as in the urethra and intestines, so it should be treated both internally and externally.

(1) Oral use of anti-trichomonal drugs, such as metronidazole, 200 mg each time, 3 times a day for 7 days. After taking the medicine, test for Trichomonas. If the result is negative, the patient should continue treatment for one course after the next menstruation to consolidate the therapeutic effect.

(2) Local treatment at the same time, such as flushing the vagina with 0.5% to 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution once a day.

2. Fungal vaginitis

To treat candidal vaginitis, you can use 2% to 3% soda solution to rinse the vulva, vagina or take a sitz bath. After gently drying, place 250,000 units of nystatin suppository deep in the vagina, or apply nystatin cream to the vaginal wall, once a night or once in the morning and evening for a total of 10 to 14 days. For example: Shuyin Qumei Powder is a pure Chinese medicine preparation. When using the medicine, first pour the powder into a wooden basin, then pour in an appropriate amount of boiling water, and steam it while it is hot so that the medicinal power can penetrate directly into the vagina. Wait until the medicine becomes warm before applying it to the affected area. Fumigation should be done once in the morning and once in the evening.

3. Nonspecific vaginitis

The drug of choice is metronidazole, 500 mg orally twice a day for 7 days. It can also be applied topically, 200 mg each time, inserted into the vagina, with 7 days as a course of treatment. Clindamycin 300 mg, orally, twice a day for 7 days; or 2% clindamycin ointment, vaginally, once a night for 7 days.

4. Senile vaginitis

To treat senile vaginitis, local medication can be applied in the vagina, such as flushing the vagina with 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution once a day to increase vaginal acidity. For patients with more severe inflammation, estrogen therapy is used as an adjunct. 0.125-0.25 mg of diethylstilbestrol is inserted into the vagina once every night, and one course of treatment is 7 days.

After such inflammation occurs, female patients must go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. Do not delay the treatment because of embarrassment, as the consequences will be more serious. As long as it is treated in time, it is easy to recover.
