What should I do if I have a small cyst on my cervix?

I believe everyone has heard of cervical cyst. In fact, it is a small cyst in the cervix. Cervical cysts are mostly caused by chronic inflammatory stimulation. Generally, a small number of single cysts do not require treatment, but if the cysts are relatively dense or individually large, you can go to a regular hospital for physical therapy. Therefore, cervical cysts are not terrible. Today I will tell you what to do if there is a cyst in your cervix.

Cervical cyst is a manifestation of chronic cervicitis. It is formed because during the healing process of cervical erosion, the new squamous epithelium covers the opening of the cervical gland duct or extends into the gland duct, blocking the opening of the gland duct; the connective tissue hyperplasia or scar formation around the gland duct compresses the gland duct, causing the gland duct to narrow or even block it, and the drainage of glandular secretions is obstructed. The cyst formed by retention is called cervical Nabothian cyst. Under long-term inflammatory stimulation, a small number of patients with chronic cervicitis have a tendency to malignant transformation, so they need to be paid close attention.

For densely packed smaller Nabothian cysts or relatively large cysts, physical treatments such as phototherapy, laser, microwave, and self-coagulation knife can be considered. For larger tumors that protrude from the surface of the cervix, electrosurgical excision can be considered. The above treatment methods are not very painful and basically do not affect daily work and life.

Cervical cysts have the following hazards:

1. Induce other gynecological diseases: Cervical cysts are mainly caused by pathogenic bacteria infecting the cervix. If not treated in time, the bacteria will spread to the surrounding organs, affecting the surrounding organs and tissues, and may induce other gynecological diseases.

2. Cervical cysts can cause infertility: Cervical cysts are not easy to detect. Once discovered, they need to be treated promptly. If not treated in time, there is a possibility of cancer. If the inflammation spreads, it can also cause pelvic inflammatory disease, adnexitis, endometritis, etc. Under long-term inflammatory stimulation, the cervix will hypertrophy. A small number of chronic patients have a tendency to malignant transformation. Severe cases can cause menstrual abnormalities and lead to infertility.

Cervical cysts need to be taken seriously, as they may be life-threatening. If you think going to the hospital is too troublesome and expensive, you must learn to observe your health from some small aspects of your body. If any abnormal symptoms occur, you need to go to the hospital for examination in time. After all, physical health is more important.
