Under normal circumstances, every time a woman has her menstruation, it means that a mature egg cell will be discharged. However, some women have their menstruation but do not discharge an egg. This is medically known as anovulation. In this case, women cannot become pregnant normally. Women in this situation will have irregular vaginal bleeding, and the amount of menstruation will vary. So, what causes anovulation? Regular ovarian ovulation is a necessary condition for fertility. Anovulation is mostly due to pathological disorders in any link of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis, but it can also be affected by other endocrine gland disease factors in the body. Ovulation is a prerequisite for women to conceive. Because of the positive and negative feedback interaction between the hypothalamus, anterior pituitary gland and ovary, it controls the ovulation and menstruation of women of childbearing age. Dysfunction of the hypothalamus-anterior pituitary-ovarian axis will hinder ovulation, cause menstrual disorders, and even amenorrhea. The cause may be congenital ovarian hypoplasia and ovulation. Mumps may be followed by oophoritis, ovarian failure, radiation damage affecting normal ovarian function, etc.; or by polycystic ovaries or abnormal hormone secretion, which affects the normal regulatory relationship of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis, interferes with normal ovulation and causes infertility, which is anovulatory infertility. Anovulation is a type of ovulation disorder. The factors that cause ovulation disorders include: central nervous system anovulation; hypothalamic anovulation; pituitary anovulation; ovarian anovulation; polycystic ovary syndrome; luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome; others: other endocrine systems other than gonads, such as thyroid and adrenal cortex dysfunction and some systemic diseases such as severe malnutrition can affect the regulation of ovarian function and lead to ovulation disorders. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that anovulatory infertility is mainly caused by the imbalance of yin and yang between the kidneys, Tiangui, Chongren, and uterus. The most common cases of anovulation are teenagers who are still in puberty and women who are about to enter menopause. This is physiological. Of course, there are also women who are suitable for pregnancy and this situation occurs. This should be taken seriously and checked in a regular hospital to rule out the impact of other physical diseases on the ovaries. Anovulation is also a major cause of female infertility. |
