Hard belly and frequent urination in late pregnancy

Hard belly and frequent urination in late pregnancy

During pregnancy, the uterus continues to grow and will compress the bladder, causing some pregnant women to always want to go to the toilet or have a feeling of urinary incontinence. Especially in the late pregnancy, the increase in amniotic fluid in pregnant women can easily increase the urge to urinate, so this is a normal situation and there is no need to worry too much. Under normal circumstances, it is normal for pregnant women to urinate frequently and urgently, but if pregnant women experience abnormal symptoms such as pain or burning sensation when urinating, there is a possibility of inflammation, and they should go to the hospital for medical treatment immediately.

1. In the late pregnancy, the abdomen becomes hard and the urination is frequent and urgent

1. If this kind of situation occurs in the late pregnancy, it is actually caused by uterine contraction. If there is no abdominal pain, it is caused by normal uterine contraction. Of course, some women have a more obvious feeling, and some pregnant women have a little uterine contraction and they can feel it themselves. This has a lot to do with the pregnant woman's own body and mental qualities.

2. If there is such a phenomenon on the abdomen, pregnant women do not need to worry too much. They can sit on the sofa and observe their stomach. This phenomenon will generally disappear after more than ten minutes and will not make pregnant women very uncomfortable. And in the later stages of pregnancy, uterine contractions will be very frequent, so when this happens, there is no need to be too anxious.

2. Reasons for a hard belly in late pregnancy

1. Premature babies

It refers to the birth of a pregnant woman before the 37th week of pregnancy. Pregnant women generally experience uterine contractions, which are mainly manifested by tightness, hardening, and abdominal pain in the lower abdomen. If there are 2 to 3 uterine contractions every 10 minutes, lasting more than 30 seconds, or accompanied by pink secretions from the vagina, it is a sign of impending labor and you need to go to the hospital for examination and observation. If during the observation process there is progressive dilation of the cervix and the cervical opening is more than 2 cm, premature birth will be inevitable.

2. False labor at the end of pregnancy

It is the irregular, weak, painless contractions that occur during pregnancy. Its characteristic is that it often appears at night and disappears in the morning. This is different from the labor pains in the late pregnancy, which are mainly characterized by short intervals and regular gradual abdominal pain. Most pregnant women may not feel any discomfort, but some pregnant women with sensitive sensory nerves may mistake the normal contraction of the uterus for labor contractions. According to statistics, about 1/3 of the so-called threatened labor cases are not real labors, but false labors.

3. It is also possible that pain is coming

If you feel regular abdominal hardening near the time of delivery (within 3 weeks before the due date, that is, when the pregnancy reaches full term), and this phenomenon occurs repeatedly, it may mean that the real pain (before delivery) is about to come.
