Can I eat macadamia nuts during early pregnancy?

For pregnant women, the body is a person with two lives in one, so there are many things to pay attention to in any aspect of life. After all, if you want to give birth to a healthy baby smoothly, pregnant women must pay attention to the things they should pay attention to. So today I will solve a small problem for everyone, that is, can pregnant women eat macadamia nuts in the early stages of pregnancy? What are the effects?

Macadamia nuts are tropical and subtropical high-end economic crops with strong adaptability. They are suitable for planting in hills or plains below 1,200 meters above sea level. The maximum temperature in summer generally does not exceed 35°C, the maximum temperature in winter is not lower than 15°C, and the minimum temperature is not lower than 0°C. There is no frost or occasional light frost all year round. The soil layer is deep and rich in organic matter. The pH value is 5.0 to 6.0. The drainage is good, and there are irrigation conditions when there is water shortage in the dry season. Because the tree has a dense crown, shallow root system and is not wind-resistant, the orchard should be located in a place with few local strong winds all year round and in an area that is easily affected by typhoons. Windbreaks should be built and young trees should be supported by bamboo and branches to resist wind damage.

The superior varieties are characterized by vigorous plant growth, wind resistance, drought tolerance, high yield, high quality, symmetrical and upright crowns, and strong branches. The average yield per plant during the peak production period is between 25 kg and 50 kg or more. The seed kernels are of medium size, with a kernel rate of 30% to 50%, and first-grade kernels account for about 98%. Generally, asexual bud grafting seedlings are used for planting. Use seedlings as rootstocks, cultivate them for one to two years, and then bud graft them in November to December or March to April. The base of the buds used for budding should be ring-barked one to two months before budding to facilitate the accumulation of carbohydrates, improve the survival rate of budding, and ensure strong sprouts.

Planting should be done away from drought, rainy and high temperature seasons, and should be done in the early or late rainy season to facilitate the plant's recovery of growth. Planting density varies with soil conditions and variety type. In Guangxi, the general plant spacing is 4m×5m, 33 plants are planted per mu, and more than 25 plants are produced per mu; Yunnan advocates that the plant spacing varies according to the variety, with 4m×7m, 4m×8m and 4m×9m, and 18 to 24 plants are planted per mu. The hole specifications are 0.8×0.8×0.6 (meters). Most macadamia nuts have a high degree of self-sterility, so the planting varieties must be cross-planted (different varieties are planted in alternate rows), and at least two varieties should be planted in one field.

Among people who regularly consume macadamia oil, the incidence of various cancers is very low, especially breast cancer and gastrointestinal system cancers, which are significantly lower than other people. Due to the consumption of macadamia oil, the incidence of lung cancer in the Mediterranean region is 50% lower than that in the United States. Studies have found that macadamia oil can reduce the rate at which ketone derivatives of carcinogens form tumors in the intestines. The protective effect of macadamia oil is related to its rich content of monounsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants and other trace elements. They work synergistically with each other to enhance the protective effect. The intake of macadamia nut oil (along with vegetables and fruits) is particularly important in anti-tumor foods.

A breast cancer study reported that women who ate macadamia nuts at one meal a day had a 25% lower risk of cancer, and those who replaced other cooking oils with macadamia nut oil had a 50% lower risk of cancer. Studies have shown that women who consume more monounsaturated fatty acids have a significantly lower rate of breast cancer. Researchers recommend that people should replace polyunsaturated fatty acids with monounsaturated fatty acids, that is, replace other edible oils with macadamia nut oil, so as to reduce the risk of breast cancer.

In another study, researchers showed that beta-sitosterol, a plant fat found in macadamia nut oil, could prevent the growth of prostate cancer cells. A recent study shows that macadamia nut oil can prevent colon cancer. After reacting with stomach acid, macadamia nut oil can prevent the attack of colon cancer and rectal cancer.

So, as a mother, pregnant women still need to pay more attention and be more careful to the healthy birth of their babies. After all, a small life is relatively fragile. Therefore, as a father, you should also pay more attention to the problems of pregnant women. Even if the pregnant woman's emotions fluctuate greatly during pregnancy, as a father, you still need to be humble and tolerant.
