When it comes to B-ultrasound examination, many people are familiar with it. You can do it with confidence. This kind of examination method does not have much impact on the body. However, it should be noted that if you feel uncomfortable during the B-ultrasound examination, you need to report it immediately. This is something that women should pay attention to when doing B-ultrasound during pregnancy. But is B-ultrasound accurate in measuring ovulation? Many women do not understand. Is B-ultrasound accurate in measuring ovulation? B-ultrasound monitoring of ovulation is currently the most accurate method of ovulation detection. It uses vaginal B-ultrasound to observe the size of the ovaries, measure the size of the follicles, and estimate when ovulation occurs. The follicle is generally about 2-3 mm in size. It will gradually increase in size as ovulation approaches, reaching 18 mm 2 days before ovulation and increasing to over 20 mm on the day of ovulation. If the observation day happens to be the ovulation day, sometimes you can even see the rupture of the follicle on ultrasound. It can be seen from this that using vaginal B-ultrasound to detect ovulation is the most direct and accurate method. First, you can use the menstrual cycle method to predict an approximate ovulation date, perform follicle measurement on a day close to the ovulation day, observe the size of the follicles, and seek guidance from a doctor. If the follicle has just been formed or is still very small, an ultrasound examination can be performed every two days to monitor the growth rate of the follicle. When the follicle is close to maturity and is about 16 mm in size, it can be tested every day, or even twice a day, until the follicle matures. 1. Ovulation period: The ovulation day is generally 14 days before the next menstrual period. The ovulation period refers to the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days is called the ovulation period. 2. Developing follicles: In the early follicular stage (5th to 7th day of menstruation), you can usually see several developing follicles, generally 5 to 10, and their diameter usually does not exceed 11 mm. 3. Dominant follicle: On the 8th to 12th day of menstruation, a dominant follicle is formed while the other follicles degenerate. The diameter of the mature follicle can reach 20 to 25 mm. 4. Generally, an adult woman only ovulates one egg per month. After understanding whether B-ultrasound is accurate in detecting ovulation, women should be careful to stop the examination immediately if they feel uncomfortable during the examination. They can also consult with others about some areas they do not understand, so that they can conduct the examination safely. |
