When the estrogen level is high, the endometrium may undergo proliferative changes; when the estrogen level is low, the endometrium loses support and becomes necrotic, exfoliated, and bleeding. The clinical manifestations of functional uterine bleeding in adolescence are mainly menstrual cycle disorders and changes in menstrual volume. For example, the menstrual period varies in length, and the amount of bleeding is sometimes more and sometimes less. Sometimes it is just dripping and endless, and sometimes it is like a hemorrhage.
