What are the symptoms of vulvar warts?

Due to the lack of medical knowledge, most people think that only men suffer from genital warts. In fact, this idea is wrong, because genital warts are transmitted through sexual intercourse. If women cannot keep themselves clean and have sex with men with genital warts, they are very likely to suffer from genital warts. This is also the reason why the number of female vulvar warts patients has continued to increase in recent years. Now let me tell you what the clinical manifestations of vulvar warts are!

1. Initially, it appears as small, light red papules, which gradually increase in size. The surface is uneven, moist and soft, with nipple-like, mushroom-like or cauliflower-like protrusions, red or dirty gray, with a stalk at the root, and is often prone to erosion and exudation, and is more likely to bleed when touched.

2. The affected area is often moist, local secretions will increase, and the chance of bacterial infection will also increase. If bacterial infection occurs, local redness, swelling, pain, erosion, ulceration, necrosis, exudation or obvious purulent fluid may occur.

3. It is common in the moist areas of the skin and mucous membranes near the external genitalia and anus, and occasionally in the armpits, oral cavity, etc. If it occurs in the urethra, symptoms such as frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and changes in the urine flow curve may also occur. If the damage occurs in the mouth or throat, there may be difficulty eating, difficulty swallowing, and hoarseness. In severe cases, the damage may block the trachea and cause suffocation and death.

4. Most female patients do not feel any discomfort, such as itching, pain and other subjective symptoms. A very small number of patients may experience mild itching and tingling locally.

5. The course of the disease is uncertain and may disappear naturally within a few months. But there are also some that last for many years without fading.

6. Some genital warts may turn into cancer.

After reading the editor’s description of the clinical manifestations of vulvar condyloma acuminatum, I believe you have learned a lot of knowledge. Exogenous genital warts not only cause physical pain to the patient, but are also very likely to be transmitted to other family members, affecting family harmony and causing a family tragedy. So if you have similar symptoms, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time.
