In order to prevent pregnancy, many female friends who are unwilling to take contraceptive measures will plan when sexual intercourse is safe and when it is dangerous. However, the so-called safe period may not completely play a contraceptive role. Many friends who have unexpected pregnancies have problems in this regard. Let’s find out if you can get pregnant if you have sex without taking any contraceptive measures on the sixth day after your period ends. Having sex six days after the end of menstruation can be considered a safe period. But there is no absolute safe period. The so-called safe period contraception is based on this principle: women begin to ovulate every 28 days since puberty, usually releasing one egg each time. The ovulation period is generally between two menstrual periods, which is about 14 days before the next menstrual period. After the egg is released, it can only maintain its fertilization ability for 1-2 days, at most 3-4 days. Beyond this limit, even if it encounters sperm, it will not be fertilized and pregnancy will occur. In addition, male sperm can only survive for 2-3 days in the female reproductive tract. Therefore, the easiest time for a woman to get pregnant is between 5 days before ovulation and 4 days after ovulation. If you avoid having sex during these days, you generally won't get pregnant. Theoretically, in the menstrual cycle, the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation and the 10 days including the ovulation day are called the fertile period, and the rest are the safe period. But this contraceptive method is not safe for many reasons: 1. Although women's ovulation has a certain regularity, it is not absolute. Ovulation is related to factors such as environment, mood, physical health, and sexual life. Sometimes ovulation may occur early or two eggs may be released at a time, and sometimes ovulation may be delayed or even suspended. 2. Some women have irregular menstruation, which can easily lead to miscalculation of the safe period and cause contraceptive failure. Therefore, simply calculating based on the menstrual cycle is sometimes not enough to determine the ovulation date. 3. Some women have increased sexual desires around the time of ovulation. If the ovulation time is uncertain, contraceptive failure can easily occur. Therefore, the safe period is not absolutely safe, and its failure rate can be as high as 15% or more. From the above introduction, it can be seen that there is a high probability of getting pregnant if you have sex six days after the end of menstruation. The safe period is only for female comrades with regular menstrual cycles. If there are external factors, the ovulation cycle will also change accordingly. Therefore, in order to avoid the need for artificial abortion due to accidental pregnancy, it is recommended to take contraceptive measures and do not blindly believe in the so-called safe period. |
