As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I see patients like this every day. They have abnormal leucorrhea with a fishy smell due to induced labor or miscarriage. For women, abnormal leucorrhea must not be ignored. It is a precursor to gynecological diseases. You must go to the hospital for examination in time. You can do a leucorrhea examination to see what is causing it. So what is the reason for this situation after induced abortion? The first is caused by autoinfection. Autoinfection refers to the infection caused by poor vaginal cleanliness before delivery. The common pathogen is anaerobic streptococcus. It parasitizes in the vagina. After induced abortion, due to changes in the body's internal environment or damage to the uterine wall, the bacteria can invade and cause disease. Bacteria that have already parasitized other parts of the body can also be transmitted to the reproductive tract through blood circulation or hand contact and cause infection. Once infected, the leucorrhea will become abnormal, such as yellow color, fishy smell, etc. The second is caused by external infection. External infection refers to the bacteria entering the vagina from the outside after delivery. If surgical instruments, dressings, gloves, etc. are not thoroughly disinfected, pathogenic bacteria may be introduced. Therefore, induced abortion must be performed in a regular hospital. Bacteria can also be spread to patients through the air. This eventually leads to an abnormally fishy smell in the leucorrhea. Finally, factors such as premature sexual intercourse after induced abortion and poor personal hygiene habits can also allow external bacteria to invade the reproductive tract and cause infection. This causes the leucorrhea to have a fishy smell. Therefore, you must pay attention to personal hygiene after induced abortion, wash the vulva every day, and change underwear frequently. It can be seen from this that abnormal leucorrhea with a fishy smell may seem like nothing, but it may hide serious consequences. Mild ones include vaginal and vulvar itching, vaginitis, etc., while the most serious ones may cause infection and lead to shock, threatening life safety. Therefore, it should not be taken lightly and must be checked and treated in time. |
