Many expectant mothers are concerned about what will happen to them during pregnancy. The tension and joy of the first pregnancy are very wonderful. They feel afraid and worried that they will not be able to take good care of the baby in their belly, but poor care will affect the child's development. These worries are normal. Let us understand the characteristics of early pregnancy. Symptom 1: Amenorrhea: For women with regular menstruation, pregnancy is relatively easy to determine, and amenorrhea is the first signal of pregnancy. Generally speaking, if your period is delayed by a week, you should suspect pregnancy. There are very few women who, although they are pregnant, still have their periods once or twice when they should, but the amount of blood is less than usual and the dates are shorter. This is called "leaking menstruation" in traditional Chinese medicine, and the real reason is not yet clear. Symptom 2: Frequent urination: During the first three months of pregnancy, the uterus gradually grows in the pelvic cavity, pressing on the bladder, causing women to constantly feel the urge to urinate. In the middle of pregnancy, the uterus will move up to the abdominal cavity, and the phenomenon of frequent urination will improve. But towards the end of pregnancy, frequent urination will reappear. Symptom three: Fatigue and sleepiness: In the early stages of pregnancy, many women will experience general weakness and fatigue, or have no interest in doing things, cannot muster the energy, feel easily tired, feel drowsy all day, and often want to sleep. Symptom 4: Vomiting: Most women will experience nausea and vomiting when they are more than 6 weeks pregnant, usually within a few hours after waking up in the morning. Those with mild symptoms have a decreased appetite, occasional nausea, and vomiting. A few people have obvious symptoms, vomiting whatever they eat, even if they don’t eat. The vomiting is not limited to the morning, and their sense of smell is particularly sensitive, and smelling disgusting odors will cause vomiting. Symptom 5: Frequent hunger: Many women feel hungry from the beginning of pregnancy, and this feeling of hunger is different from the feeling of being hungry before. Symptom 6. Breast discomfort: Women who have just become pregnant may experience tingling, swelling, and itching in the breasts. Occasionally squeezing the nipples will produce sticky, yellowish colostrum. And as the mammary glands enlarge, lumps-like growths may develop in the breasts. Symptom 7: Increased vaginal discharge: In the early stages of pregnancy, due to the rapid increase in hormones, increased vaginal discharge is a normal phenomenon. If your vulva doesn't itch and your vaginal discharge doesn't have an odor, there's no need to worry. However, if you experience vulvar itching and pain, yellow leucorrhea with a strange or foul smell, you need to go to the hospital for treatment, as this may be caused by vulvar or vaginal disease. If left unchecked, it may affect the growth and development of the fetus. As the fetus and the mother develop and grow day by day, expectant mothers learn how to take care of themselves and the fetus. The fetus also grows bigger day by day with the mother's careful care. Any physical discomfort that occurs needs to be checked. |
