What should pregnant women do when they have toothache? What should they not do?

Pregnancy is a special period. The family and the pregnant woman herself need to pay attention to her diet and all other aspects. Among them, toothache causes a lot of trouble when pregnant women have it, so many people want to know more about this issue. So, what should pregnant women do if they have toothache? What should they not do? I hope the following introduction can be helpful to you.

Ginger for toothache

Ginger has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. When you have a toothache, take a piece of fresh ginger and bite it on the painful tooth. You can use it repeatedly if necessary.

MSG relieves toothache

Take a small amount of MSG and apply it directly to the toothache; or add an appropriate amount of MSG to boiling water to melt, and rinse repeatedly after cooling, which has a good analgesic effect.

Acupoint pressing can relieve toothache. For upper toothache, use Xiaguan acupoint, and for lower toothache, use Jiache acupoint. Regardless of upper or lower toothache, use Hegu acupoint on the same side. Press the acupoint with your thumb and rub it slightly. Repeat until the toothache disappears.

1. Avoid being picky or partial in eating: Pregnant women who are picky or partial in eating may suffer from malnutrition and affect the growth of the fetus. Therefore, pregnant women should eat foods that are rich in protein, vitamins, calcium, iron and other nutrients and are easily digestible, such as eggs, lean meat, soy products, fresh fish, peanuts, fresh vegetables and fruits.

2. Avoid drinking cola: Pregnant women who drink too much cola-type beverages will damage the embryo, because cola-type beverages are mainly made from cola nuts, which contain 2.6% caffeine and biological alkaloids such as clonidine. These bioalkalis can enter the fetus through the placenta, endangering the normal development of the fetus's brain, heart, liver, gastrointestinal tract and other organs.

3. Avoid overnutrition: If pregnant women eat too much meat, fish, eggs and sweets, it can increase the level of catecholamines in the body and increase the chance of cleft lip and cleft palate in the fetus. If pregnant women eat too much animal liver, the amount of vitamin A in the body will increase significantly, which can affect the development of the fetal brain and heart, and even cause genital malformations. Therefore, pregnant women should not eat too much nutritious food.

4. Avoid drinking coffee frequently: The caffeine in coffee can act on the embryo, combining with the deoxyribonucleic acid in the cells to cause mutations. Pregnant women who drink coffee frequently are at risk of miscarriage and teratogenesis.

There are many things that you cannot do during pregnancy. Many pregnant women do not know this, so many problems will arise later, causing trouble to themselves and their families. Therefore, although the issue of toothache in pregnant women is not very noticeable, it is still better to remind everyone to pay more attention to it, so that you can better nourish the fetus.
