Irregular menstruation asked me to do anal ultrasound

Irregular menstruation asked me to do anal ultrasound

For women with menstrual disorders, in addition to checking the six sex hormones, it is also necessary to check whether there are organic diseases in the female genitals. For women who have no sexual life, only abdominal color ultrasound or anal B-ultrasound is needed. However, abdominal color Doppler ultrasound usually requires holding back a lot of urine, and the uterus may not be clearly visible due to its poor position. Therefore, patients must go to a reliable hospital to check the actual condition and have a professional doctor diagnose the condition and then provide treatment.

Is it normal for me to have an anal ultrasound due to irregular menstruation?

I had irregular menstruation and asked her to do an anal ultrasound, and everything was normal. Generally speaking, anal B-ultrasound is suitable for single women with irregular menstruation.

Rectal B-ultrasound is also more suitable for women whose genital lesions cannot be detected by abdominal ultrasound, who have difficulty holding urine, or who have a posterior uterus. The best time to do anal ultrasound examination is 3 to 7 days after the end of menstruation. It is generally not recommended to do color ultrasound examination during menstruation. There are many causes of irregular menstruation in clinical medicine, such as gynecological organic lesions, endocrine and neurological dysfunction, some systemic diseases, and drugs.

It is recommended that women with irregular menstruation go to a local regular hospital for regular check-ups and treatment as soon as possible. Usually establish good living habits, avoid excessive fatigue and staying up late for a long time during menstruation, and ensure adequate sleep.

Symptoms of irregular menstruation

1. Menstruation comes early. Early menstruation means that the normal menstrual cycle suddenly becomes shortened, shorter than 21 days, and lasts for more than 2 cycles, but the menstrual flow is normal.

2. Delayed menstruation. Normal menstruation is regular, but menstruation is more than 7 days late, or even 40-50 days late, and it lasts for more than 2 menstrual cycles, but the menstrual flow is normal.

3. The menstrual period lasts for a long time. The menstrual cycle is normal, the menstrual volume is normal, but the menstrual period is long, lasting more than 7 days, or even 2 weeks.

4. Heavy menstrual flow. Excessive blood loss during the menstrual period exceeds 80 ml per day, or the menstrual volume is significantly increased compared to the past, which is called heavy menstruation.

5. The menstrual flow is small. The menstrual cycle is basically normal, the menstrual flow is significantly reduced, or even just a little bit; or the menstrual period is shortened to less than two days, and the menstrual flow is also light.

6. Bleeding during the middle and late stages of menstruation. Also known as mid-menstrual bleeding and ovulation bleeding. Refers to bleeding that occurs between two regular normal menstrual cycles.

7. Menstrual pain. Menstrual pain is divided into primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea refers to dysmenorrhea without organic diseases of the male reproductive organs; secondary dysmenorrhea refers to dysmenorrhea caused by organic lesions of the pelvis.

8. Amenorrhea. Amenorrhea is divided into two types: primary and secondary. Primary amenorrhea refers to the absence of development of secondary sexual characteristics in women over the age of 14, or the presence of secondary sexual characteristics and menstruation in women over the age of 16. Secondary amenorrhea means that after the normal menstrual cycle is established, the menstrual period stops for more than 6 months, or the original menstrual cycle stops for more than 3 cycles.

9. Premenstrual syndrome. Women in the middle and late stages of their menstrual cycle experience a series of physiological and emotional discomfort symptoms, such as irritability, insomnia, headaches, breast pain, etc., which can seriously affect women's normal daily life.
