Is Breast Fibroid Painful?

There are many common diseases among women. When it comes to treating women's diseases, the choice of method is critical. The common method of treating women's diseases is medication. The medication method is simple and will not have much impact on the female body. You can rest assured when choosing it. Breast fibroids are a disease that women are prone to, but many people don't know whether breast fibroids are painful.

Is Breast Fibroid Painful?

The most obvious symptom of breast fibroids is a breast lump, which can cause mild pain, and the pain will be relatively obvious before and after menstruation. However, some patients will not feel any obvious symptoms. The lumps of breast fibroadenomas are mostly discovered by patients accidentally. They are usually not accompanied by pain and do not change with the menstrual cycle. In other words, breast fibroadenomas can cause mild pain, and the pain will be relatively obvious during menstruation. In a small number of cases, breast fibroadenoma and breast hyperplasia coexist, and premenstrual breast pain may occur in this case.

Fibroadenoma lumps often occur in the upper outer quadrant of the breast. Adenomas are usually solitary but may occur multiple times. Adenomas are round or oval in shape, with diameters ranging from 1 to 3 cm being more common, but there are also smaller or larger ones, and occasionally huge ones. The surface is smooth, the texture is tough, the boundaries are clear, there is no adhesion to the skin and surrounding tissues, it has a large range of motion, and it feels sliding when touched. There was no axillary lymph node enlargement. Adenomas are usually painless and non-tender. Its size and characteristics generally do not change with the menstrual cycle. The lump usually grows slowly and may not change for several years, but it may increase rapidly during pregnancy and lactation, and in some cases may develop into a sarcoma at this time.

Some people with breast fibroids will experience irregular swelling and pain. This breast pain does not necessarily mean a breast tumor. Even if a breast lump can be felt, it does not necessarily mean breast cancer. Because breast cancer rarely causes pain or other obvious symptoms in the early stages, early detection can only be done through breast self-examination and mammography. Breast cancer will not cause pain unless it has grown large enough to invade the nerves around the chest wall.

After understanding whether breast fibroadenoma is painful, women should seek timely treatment when they have such a disease. Moreover, when treating breast fibroadenoma, women should not choose irritating foods. Such foods are of no help in the treatment of breast fibroadenoma in women and will affect the treatment effect of the disease.
