Its common side effects are postoperative lower abdominal pain and fever, which are caused by the absorption of necrotic tissue and can usually be relieved by symptomatic treatment. Interventional treatment of adenomyosis is a relatively new treatment method with a small number of patients. Little is known about the mid- and long-term efficacy and complications, so it cannot yet be used as a routine method. In addition, due to the lack of understanding of the effects of interventional treatment on ovarian function and endometrial function, as well as whether the embolized uterine muscle wall will have adverse effects on future pregnancy, embolization treatment is not recommended for women who want to have children.
