How to increase the success rate of threatened abortion

How to increase the success rate of threatened abortion

A baby is the hope of every family, but sometimes there are always some misfortunes. Many miscarriages happen to pregnant mothers. In fact, miscarriage also has precursors, but there is still a 50% chance of miscarriage due to threatened miscarriage. So what can pregnant mothers do to increase the success rate of preserving the fetus? If threatened miscarriage occurs, how to increase the success rate of preserving the fetus.

To increase the success rate of pregnancy preservation, pregnant mothers can do the following:

1. If you find signs of threatened miscarriage, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible, and do not choose miscarriage-preserving drugs at will.

2. Progesterone, as a progestin, is only effective for threatened abortion caused by insufficient luteal secretion and progesterone deficiency. It is not a panacea for preserving pregnancy. If the threatened miscarriage is caused by chromosomal abnormalities, taking progesterone will be ineffective. Therefore, it is important to prescribe the right medicine to protect the fetus in case of threatened miscarriage. For example, late threatened abortion (pregnancy more than 3 months but less than 28 weeks) is mostly caused by relaxation of the internal cervical os. If you want to preserve the fetus, in addition to using tocolytic drugs, you should also use drugs that inhibit uterine contractions and other means of auxiliary treatment.

3. If symptoms of threatened miscarriage appear, pregnant mothers should be careful not to overwork and rest in bed more often. At the same time, you should actively cooperate with the doctor's symptomatic treatment and not just rest in bed.

4. If threatened miscarriage occurs, be sure to avoid sexual intercourse to protect the fetus in order to avoid inducing miscarriage.

5. Keep your emotions stable, avoid tense environments, supplement with adequate nutrition, and take some vitamin E orally. If the embryo is normal and the cause of the miscarriage is eliminated after rest and treatment, the bleeding will stop and the pregnancy can continue.

There are many causes of threatened abortion, such as abnormal embryo development caused by genetic defects, viral infection, maternal systemic diseases (common ones include hypertension, nephritis, hypothyroidism, etc.), endocrine disorders, reproductive organ malformations and trauma, excessive coffee drinking, smoking and alcoholism, etc. can all lead to threatened abortion.

According to doctors, many spontaneous miscarriages in early pregnancy are caused by abnormal fetal development during pregnancy, which leads to miscarriage in accordance with the biological principle of survival of the fittest. Therefore, for threatened miscarriage for which no obvious cause has been found, the patient and her family should not blindly try to preserve the fetus.

In fact, not every fetus needs to be preserved. Blindly preserving the fetus may not only have adverse effects on the fetus, but may also be harmful to the mother herself. Through the above introduction, we also know that if threatened miscarriage occurs, the success rate of preserving the fetus can actually be increased. As long as we understand how to increase the success rate of preserving the fetus during threatened miscarriage, we can definitely protect the baby.
