Due to the fast pace of life and the dual pressures of life and work, many female friends nowadays neglect their own health. If women don’t know how to take care of themselves and how to correctly and timely detect some common gynecological diseases in themselves, it is even less likely that men will care. Therefore, female friends must pay more attention to their physical condition and seek timely treatment if any problems are found. Among them, endocervicitis is a common gynecological disease in women. 1. What is endocervicitis? Endocervicitis is a type of cervical inflammation. The uterine structure is composed of the cervical os and uterus. Endocervical inflammation is caused by the mucous membrane inside the cervix, which is somewhat different from cervical erosion. 2. Symptoms: Endocervicitis is inflammation of the cervical canal. The inflammation is limited to the cervical canal mucosa and the tissues underneath. Clinically, the cervical vaginal part is smooth, but the cervical opening is congested or blocked with purulent secretions. Cervical endometritis can be divided into acute endometritis and chronic endometritis. Usually, there are many causes of endometritis. If the patient has obvious symptoms, he should take some measures to treat it in time. (1) Mild fever, lower abdominal pain, increased vaginal discharge, etc. Leucorrhea is sometimes bloody, and if it is caused by anaerobic bacteria, the discharge will be foul-smelling. Some people have irregular menstruation. If the inflammation is severe, it may spread to the myometrium. It becomes myometritis and many small abscesses form inside it. If the inflammation spreads outward, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease. During examination, the uterus may be tender and enlarged, and the tissues on both sides may be tender and thickened. (2) In the acute phase of endometritis, the endometrium becomes congested, edematous, and infiltrated with inflammatory cells. In severe cases, suppuration may occur. The patient's symptoms of endocervicitis include fever, abdominal pain, and increased vaginal discharge that is bloody or purulent. Acute endometritis can further develop into myometritis, salpingitis and pelvic inflammatory disease, making the condition worse. The chronic stage may be asymptomatic, and sometimes the symptoms of endocervical inflammation are irregular vaginal bleeding and abnormal menstruation. (3) Patients with chronic endometritis usually suffer from back pain. Sexual intercourse can aggravate the symptoms of endometritis, increase leucorrhea, and worsen abdominal pain and swelling in the lumbar region. They should not have intercourse too often. Even if they force themselves to have sex, they will not feel pleasure or sexual excitement. Or there may be pleasure and sexual excitement at the time, but due to pelvic congestion after sex, the symptoms of cervical endometritis may reappear or worsen. Female friends, when you find yourself having similar symptoms, please do not take it lightly. Be sure to see a doctor in time for early detection and early treatment. This way you can have a healthy body to do what you like and want to do. |
