How to relieve spinal pain during pregnancy?

Women will experience various back pains during pregnancy, especially in the later stages when the fetus begins to grow. The pregnant woman's center of gravity will move forward, which will stretch the muscles in the waist and back, causing the pregnant woman's body to lean back. Over time, the pregnant woman will feel pain in the spine, and severe cases may cause numbness in the palms. So how should pregnant women relieve the pain caused by spinal pressure?

First of all, it is recommended that pregnant women should not wear high heels during pregnancy, because high heels have a certain height and the center of gravity of the pregnant woman has already moved. Wearing high heels will aggravate the displacement of the center of gravity, put more pressure on the spine, and aggravate the pain in the waist and back. In addition, pregnant women may fall if they wear high heels, so they should avoid wearing them.

Secondly, pregnant women should not lift heavy objects. Generally, when standing, it is best to support yourself with both hands, which can greatly reduce the burden on your waist. When squatting down to pick up something, do not stand up immediately to avoid injuring your waist. Since pregnant women will gain weight during pregnancy, they should also control their weight reasonably. They can also use a belly support belt when standing or walking for a long time.

Finally, pregnant women can relieve back pain by doing some exercises to strengthen their back muscles.

1. Kneel on all fours and crawl, straighten your back, and tighten your buttocks muscles.

2. Push your pelvis toward your abdomen and slowly arch your back; hold for a few seconds and then relax.

Tips: During pregnancy, you need to get enough rest to reduce physical fatigue, maintain a good posture on weekdays, and put a soft pillow when sitting to relieve back pressure. You can also do some massages at home. If you feel pain, you can use a hot towel to apply heat for half an hour every day to reduce the pain.
