What to do if you have ovulation pain

What to do if you have ovulation pain

For female friends, daily life during menstruation is quite uncomfortable. Some people may experience abdominal pain during their ovulation period. If the pain is regular at this time, then it is ovulation abdominal pain, which is a relatively normal physiological phenomenon. Therefore, female friends should not be too nervous in daily life. A relaxed mood will help alleviate the symptoms of the disease.

The ovulation period is about two weeks before menstruation, and abdominal pain occurs regularly, which indicates that it is a typical ovulation abdominal pain. So, why does ovulation cause abdominal pain in women?

During a woman's menstrual cycle, only one egg will develop into a mature egg. During the development of the egg cell, not only does the size of the follicle increase and the amount of follicular fluid increase, but the follicle also gradually moves to the surface of the ovary and protrudes from the ovarian capsule. When the egg cell is fully developed and mature, the ovarian capsule will dissolve and rupture, the follicular fluid will be discharged, and the egg will be slowly squeezed out of the ovary. This is ovulation.

Due to individual differences, the amount of follicular fluid discharged when each person's follicle ruptures is not exactly the same. If the follicular fluid is discharged in excess, after entering the pelvic cavity, it will stimulate the pelvic membrane and cause abdominal pain. This is the cause of the abdominal pain. Some people experience abdominal pain along with other symptoms such as lower back pain on the same side and soreness and discomfort in the lumbar region. If the ovaries on both sides ovulate alternately, abdominal pain will occur alternately on both sides of the lower abdomen every month.

A small number of women may also experience ovulation bleeding. This is because the follicle ruptures and the estrogen level temporarily drops after ovulation, which cannot maintain the normal growth of the endometrium and causes endometrial damage. The bleeding time is generally about two weeks before the next menstrual period, and can be as short as a few hours or as long as no more than 2 days. The amount of bleeding is small, and most of the time it is leucorrhea turning red, and rarely reaches the amount of menstruation.

Ovulation abdominal pain is a physiological phenomenon that does not affect health or future marriage and childbearing. If it only occurs occasionally and the pain is mild without any other discomfort, you can pay attention to proper rest and no treatment is needed. If the abdominal pain is severe, you can take painkillers temporarily. If it occurs regularly every month, you can take short-acting contraceptives for a period of time under the guidance of a doctor to improve the symptoms. For those who have bleeding symptoms during ovulation, a small amount of bleeding is not harmful to health and does not require treatment. Just keep the vagina clean. If the bleeding is heavy, seek medical attention immediately.

Through this article, we can understand that ovulation pain is a relatively normal physiological symptom. We should regulate our bodies on a daily basis and maintain the nutrients our body needs for normal life. We should take good care of our vagina on a daily basis and keep it clean to keep us away from bacterial infection. With proper rest on a daily basis, we will recover quickly.
