Five reasons for anemia and eight kinds of food to nourish blood and beautify the skin

Fatigue, sleepiness, and weakness are the most common and earliest symptoms of anemia. Pale skin and mucous membranes, palpitations after activities, shortness of breath, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, vertigo, inattention, drowsiness; female patients are more likely to experience irritability, dry hair, dry skin, pigmentation, increased wrinkles, etc.

There are five causes of anemia:

1. Iron deficiency and improper diet

Regarding the more common "iron deficiency anemia", Zhang Dikai said that first of all, anemia is closely related to diet. Due to climate changes such as the current plum rain weather and physiological conditions, some people will have poor appetite, or prefer certain foods that suit their taste. Although the current dietary structure of Chinese people is becoming more and more Westernized, it is still mainly composed of plant-based foods, some substances contained in which, such as polyphenols, can strongly inhibit the biological absorption and utilization of iron. If things go on like this for a long time, it will inevitably lead to iron deficiency due to insufficient intake of animal food.

2. Chronic blood loss during menstruation

He emphasized that the latest research shows that excessive menstruation is an important cause of anemia and iron deficiency, which often causes women's blood to "exceed its supply". Normal menstruation lasts 24-35 days per cycle, with a menstrual period lasting 2-7 days and an average menstrual blood volume of 20-60 ml. Medically speaking, when the amount of menstrual blood is more than 80 ml and the bleeding time exceeds 7 days, it is considered excessive menstruation. Of course, problems such as gastrointestinal bleeding and hemorrhoids can also lead to continuous loss of iron in the blood and cause anemia.

3. Insufficient iron supply during pregnancy

"Women's iron needs during pregnancy are nearly four times higher than before pregnancy. Pregnant women often eat foods with low or no iron content due to nausea, vomiting, partiality, anorexia, etc. In addition, the weakened gastrointestinal motility and lack of gastric acid during pregnancy will also affect iron absorption. Long-term insufficient iron intake reduces the free iron and iron reserves in pregnant women. A woman who is pregnant for 10 months not only needs sufficient blood to nourish herself, but the fetus also needs to rely on the mother's blood for nourishment. Otherwise, it will not only affect herself, but also the baby.

4. Aplastic anemia

Aplastic anemia (AA) is a disease characterized by a decrease in all blood cells (red blood cells, granulocytes, and platelets) and caused by a variety of reasons that lead to changes in bone marrow stem cells, hematopoietic microenvironment, and immune mechanisms, resulting in bone marrow hematopoietic function failure. Patients with aplastic disability should take care to prevent cross infection and try not to go to public places. The house should be ventilated. Avoid taking drugs that suppress the bone marrow, such as chloramphenicol, sulfonamides, antipyretics and analgesics.

5. Hemorrhagic anemia

It includes two types: acute hemorrhagic anemia and chronic hemorrhagic anemia. Acute hemorrhagic anemia is caused by trauma or surgery that causes rupture of internal organs (such as the liver, spleen, vena cava and vena cava, etc.) and body blood vessels, resulting in massive bleeding and a sudden decrease in machine blood volume. Chronic hemorrhagic anemia is mainly caused by chronic gastrointestinal inflammation, lung, kidney, bladder, and uterine bleeding diseases, resulting in long-term and repeated bleeding. In addition, hookworm infection can also cause chronic hemorrhagic anemia.
